Going off of my experience with the previous RTK module: 6mm precision... if you're standing perfectly still. But cm-scale at high update rate is quite the leap over the previous gen which was accurate to about a meter when the receiver was moving.
Cool tech, I wonder what usage case is this good for... Needing that much precision and that much range! Kinda overkill for my usage case (land surveyor rover)
This looks amazing. I jumped in to order one then I saw the price. It is probably great value for money but it's way too much money for something to just have a play with!
I guess that I am out of date on Sparkfun's target market. For me, I would prefer to see products that wouldn't require the level of purchase justification this one would. In other words, it is certainly amazing what is available if you don't care about cost.
Do you have anything that summarizes the value-proposition of this compared with your UM980 breakout (i.e., GPS-23286)? It seems they both do useful combinations of concurrent tri-band. Aside from self-contained web config & logging, and some performance increases (e.g., 6mm RTK vs. 8mm, 100Hz refresh vs. 50Hz), what are some other big differentiators?
This is amazing, never new about all these different positioning technologies.
With these prices Spark just took the fun out Spark.

Hope there will be an RTK facet 2 using this ship and IMU

My world famous saying; "You don't have to justify the cost of a hobby. If you did, there would be no trout fishermen."

Yeah now compare with professional systems with the same GPS radio capabilities and then suddenly you realize how cheap these are.

Will this work on a Green T^@
support gnss precess ionosphere?
Jesus Cristos! Is it made of unobtainium?
No 3D sensors.!
For a mere $700...yikes.
