Thanks for showing Bug Acres! I drove from Indianapolis to Dallas to pick up a ‘67 parts car. Then, I drove two more hours south to Bug Acres to pick up a ‘67 hood and fender. What a fun trip! I made a video on this channel if you want to check it out!
My 914 runs! STill needs a lot of work before it is driving shape but I was glad it started and ran after 20 plus years residing in the woods. Hopefully we can join you for the winter cruise next year. Bug acres looked different than when I visited several weeks ago. I guess they are closed by now. Fun stuff guys...keep'em rolling/
Great video, enjoyed tagging along, I spent this rainy day organizing VW parts in my garage and getting ready for the first swap meet of the season 😁 and I patched up an old orange 75 Westfalia canvas that I got for free with gorilla tape 😜 it will be going on my 71 Westy, looking forward to next week's video
you guys are too far from my place... i would love to see all of you and your bugs while on the road. that would make my day. i miss my bug. keep buggin guys. new friend here. keep safe everyone.
Well, we know where the VW Lifer's stimmy checks went !! lol Hey !! Ya'all need to get a beach buggy, a street Baja Bug, and a street legal sand rail. It ain't a real cruise 'till you got 2 outta the 3 with ya !! lol just kiddin' !! As they say: Air Cool Is Cool !! Many happy cruises for ya'all !! Thanks for the video !!
I'm wanting to do a similar painting on my 71 Super but with Porsche Green and just the hood a flat black. I love the rally look and am going to do my Bug with that look, but no roll bar and I'm debating on putting the bumpers back on it.
Would love to meet up you gentleman and ladies some time to cruise. I took my 82 diesel Westy on a 5400 mile 2 month trip down to Key West this winter and had a blast.
“Prices were.....let’s just leave it at that”. Lol. I get the feeling prices were just Ok. They should be selling at good prices instead of scrapping what’s left over.
A concept I had was to replace a double cab bed with a single cab bed, mounting the body to a custom four wheel drive frame, adding a V8 engine (diesel?) behind the cab (radiator shroud under back seat), with a roll up/down rear window. The full bed length would be widened to cover the dually's and enlarge the storage space (treasure chest) and make room for other features, ie: a fold away two ton hoist, custom roll off truck bed, removable gooseneck and fifth wheel hitches,swap-able winch (front to rear, behind cab), compressor, generator, mig/tig welder and other equipment. The goal would be to have a multi-purpose vehicle for a farmer, junk yard shopper, recycler /scraper, scavenger or getting an off-roader pulled out and repaired enough to get home, etc... ;-)
So nice that you guys can already have such events! Any idea what those fasteners for the surfboard of the red beetle look like? I also have an old roofrack which doesn't fit new holders.
Wow a 27 VW cruse! Thats awesome! Did anyone actually buy anything?? I was happy to see my favorate Vanagon owner, hey Alice! Just another nice episode! Love how you cut MJ off about the prices! Glad to see everyone wearing masks!!!
And that was only 25, I would have thought it would a caravan starting with 25, and growing those air cooled volkswagens have a huge following, you should plan a huge volkswagen air cooled cars gathering not only Bugs, Buses, CrewCabs, Westfalia Campers, but every single model, you have Fastbacks,Notchbacks Squarebacks, even Porsches,👍👍👍👍👍👌👌👌👌👌👌
@@VWLifeVW How about preparing something spectacular, since their are clubs, followers, you guys could maybe have a meeting, together with parts for the different model volkswagens, and the emergency tool kits, to keep your volkswagens going & going, something like what you had on the one occasion , after not being able to go out much, also bring some of the latest projects, like that recent find, Porsche 914,that car for being parked so long, preety much has the original factory color, the Porsche emblem, on the door, those are hard to get by, the original ones not the reproductions, also I remember seeing the 70s Beetles with something similar , anyway it is just an idea.
Great camera work, I can see that there was a lot of effort required in the filming and editing, more so than usual, so thanks for sharing, looked a great day out! We are still not allowed to do things like that here at the moment, but our vaccination programme has just achieved more than half our adult population with their first jab (thank you our fantastic NHS - had mine on Monday!), so perhaps light at the end of the tunnel afterall! Does depend on the RoW getting vaccinated too so us Brits can start travelling overseas again! Greetings from the UK!
Now THAT was a Magical Mystery Tour for sure. Thanks VW Life. You Guys Rock.
thanks for coming with us!
I’ve listened to this song so many times , I can’t wait to go on a vw cruise.
do it! :)

@@sebasserna911 not sure, it's been a while and rumor has it the current owners are selling it all to someone else.

@@VWLifeVW terrible. That’s too bad.
VW manual, wiring diagrams? I remember a guy that used to bring poster sized ones in frames to the Harvest.
yeah that's Martin actually!
@@VWLifeVW Ask Gary and Tommie, they will remember another person that brought those and nice VW pictures framed to the Harvest shows.

Thought bug acres deadline was February. After that it was gonna be crushed? Glad it didn't happen.
