I lost my son 2021January and this his favorite music. I listen to them as often as i can because it makes me closer to him. At his funeral we plyed The last Train and Memories. Whenever i play them i just cry. I just love the music by the midnight.

Nikki Flores sounds amazing in this. The vocal duet of these guys reminds me of walking the mall with my girlfriends in middle and high school. A sugar rush of butterflies and feelings.

Man, I just found The Midnight a week ago. If only I had found you sooner. This song is outstanding. I burst into tears when she sang "and I hear your voice inside of my head but it's just a silhouette". This line is extremely underrated. It reminds me of lost loved ones and those who got away..... Who I'll never be able to hear again. It hurts so much, I love it. 💔

and that's just a handful of them. Really, I think all of their songs are worth a listen, at least from those albums.
So I discovered The Midnight about 2 months ago. I spent the first month listening to the Endless Summer album on repeat as thats the one my friend showed me first. Finally I'm going through the entire discography and Holy shit... I can't even begin to pick a favorite song or album... its all so good. Most artists have weak albums and tracks but with The Midnight, they're all equally eargasmic.
Sad they aren't more recognized. I'll be seeing them in March for the first time. Fell in love with them three years ago and never get tired of their stuff. Check out their EP Horror Show if you haven't already.

I never imagined one artist would touch my soul with so much of their material. I feel like the soundtrack to my life was composed by The Midnight. I feel genuine elation from your music, and it brings me a nostalgia that is undeserved by someone as young as me. If I ever believed in past lives, it certain would be when music like this takes me back to the 80s, the decade just before I was born. I feel like I have always been a lost boy chasing the setting sun.
Yeah. Some of these songs really hit me different. "Dream Away," "Lost Boy," "Brooklyn," "Light Years," "Last Train," "Los Angeles," and "Heart Worth Breaking" especially. They really do feel like the soundtrack to my life, and I am also too young to be nostalgic, but anemoia is universal. So many of these songs also have this sense of deja vu, as if I had listened to them thousands of times in a past life. You summed it up better than I could :'-)

Found my first love this year, and 6 months later went through my first breakup. Naturally these lyrics uncannily remind me of those times, the kisses, the way she looked at me, the tender hugs, and listening to this song, makes me feel all kinds of feels, you know, that it didn’t work out, but life goes on I guess.
Tyler, Tim, if you read this, swear to god you are my favourite artists/musicians right now because songs like these have been personally pretty therapeutic these past few months since I fell out of what felt like true love, this song, also Sunset, Memories and others like them. Keep up the incredible work, what amazing sounds you make.

Most accurate song for me right now
The last time I had breakup was in 2018 due to youth, difference, selfishness, ... and many many things.
I happened to find out The Midnight in mid-2019 and they became my favourite - especially Los Angeles, Sunset, Kids, Brooklyn... and LIGHTYEARS.
Back then, I sometimes thought that our breakup happened because of that distance - which can be measured by Lightyears - it just means "tooo faraway".
4 years later, I met the one that I can feel like I can fall in love with once again. That came true. Now we're going to celebrating our 1st anniversary.
Although I don't usually listen to Lightyears lately, this is still the best song from The Midnight. With Lightyears, I look back to those days and feel grateful that I was patient and brave enough to live through.
I hope that everything should be ok - just be okay and we will take the rest 🥰🥰

Epic epic epic! This is some damn good music! If I had to describe it it would go like this....
Eighties synth pop with lyrics that transcend time. Throw in a little brass section with call and answer timing. Mix with new wave and current melodic voices then cut the track while laying down a flowing blues leads! Or to sum it all together.....incredible!
