Since I’ve been collecting crystals my 10 year old son loves to learn about them. He will bring home different looking rocks everyday and ask me if they are crystals and if we can break them open to see. I think getting a saw like this will make him happy and help him learn more about the rocks he finds 😍 maybe he will want to be a geologist when he grows up 🥰
Pursue it and see if he sticks with it. Man do I wish I did. Rocks and crystals are one of the coolest natural phenomena that we get to witness as far as I’m concerned
I find it interesting that when you open up a cut agate and do the reveal, sometimes you flip them over because they look "upside down". It's weird because there's no top or bottom, but i almost always agree with the way you flip it to be oriented. Just an observation lol
Love your videos and I’ve got to say that I’m thrilled to see your new saw w/ a vice option! I’ve been a rock enthusiast forever but as a nurse my heart skips beats when we watch you cut smaller rocks by hand!🫣
Love the random minerals cutting videos, please do more and would love to see a lot of those polished. We all know how pretty the agates look but the other stuff was beautiful too!❤ Also HI from Australia!🇦🇺
Nice cutting video. Sow(rhymes with cow) belly is uncurled unsmoked bacon….fresh side, if you will. The sow belly agate was really prettier than I expected. Thanks!
Amo rochas e outras que tais de paixão faço coleção de muitas não sei o nome mas adorava ter alguém k me as cortassem. Mas aqui em Portugal não conheço ninguém a não ser industrial adoro ver os seus vídeos abraço 🤗
Congratulations on the new saw. I like the vice. I can see more consistant slabs from it. Any show with cut, cut, cut is my kind of show. Thanks for all the great reveals. See ya next time😊 😷⚒
I’m still in the process of setting up my rock shop in my “Artist Asylum” 😁 so I haven’t tried my new Hi-Tech 10” yet. I also purchased the vice that comes with it. Thank you Taylor for showing how to use the vice vs by hand and the difference it makes. You’re the first rock hounder/slabber I’ve seen do that. Seeing demos on using and maintenance of a saw is very helpful. Could you please also demonstrate and explain your method of sharpening the blade?
At the instant 5:07, the two pieces of agate look perfectly like the wings of a butterfly. It looks as if you were holding a butterfly with your fingers. It is only missing the body with the antennae. 😄😄
Those Zebra calcite pieces are so pretty!!! I enjoyed the review on the 6" saw, but I love the pieces you cut even more😂 Have a Blessed weekend Taylor🙏
I have the 10" saw with the vice and really like it so far for the little I have used it. The vise does have it's limits as far as getting rocks clamped in the way you want to cut them and is a bit fiddly getting it set. It's definitely better for more blocky shapes than rounded and the jaw opening is limited. Still, I'm glad I got it so I can make cuts with parallel faces for cabs. I did replace the Philips head screws with slightly longer 5" bolts with hex heads so I can use a wrench on them.
Yeah that part is funky, I use an old bottle and squish it, it sucks up the water and then I dump it out and repeat. Then I use a 60ml syringe to suck up the remaining water.
I have that same saw with vise. overall, I am happy with it. I noticed that your vise does not have any nylon bushings on the slider. You may want to check that out as it would eliminate slop and rattling noises.
Im happy with the 10 inch saw that I got from you I use it all the time but that is something that I can't use inside so maybe in the future I will get a smaller one
I’m trying to get some PPE What kind of breathing apparatus do I get? I really the water system you have for the cab king. Where can I get that that water system? Thank you for showing us your rocks. I appreciate the Christian attitude and energy you have. 😊
What would you recommend for someone who can only get one saw and tumbler? I am finding larger rocks than the agates. I think the 10" would be better for geodes and river rock size. Thanks
I just got back from Crater of Diamonds State Park in Arkansas. I bought an identification card and found everything but a diamond. Two kinds are too soft but the others i wonder about
I'm new to this and to your channel. We are trying to determine which Hi Tech Diamond saw to buy. (We will use your code when we decide to buy one). We will primarily be cutting smaller rocks, but we also want the capability to buy larger rocks. I know that the 6" would be for smaller rocks, but can the 10" slab saw also cut smaller so that we only have to buy one machine?
What saw blade did you use in this video? I have the thin sintered saw blade (red) and it hasn't been performing as well as yours did, even after using a dressing stick. Usually takes 5-10 minutes for one LSA and often skips and slows... Thanks in advance!
I was using a 6” thin sintered from HTD, this was brand new and first use. I have cut a lot with it and can tell it slowed down after that, might just be a shorter lifespan due to its thinness.
Check out the 6” Hi Tech Diamond saw and many of these polished pieces on Etsy store! Both linked here linktr.ee/AgateDad
I’m gonna say, the last one you cut……it is amethyst running through it!! Thanks!!😊

Biography of Agate Dad
Who is AgateDad?
I find it interesting that when you open up a cut agate and do the reveal, sometimes you flip them over because they look "upside down". It's weird because there's no top or bottom, but i almost always agree with the way you flip it to be oriented. Just an observation lol
Isn’t that sooo funny!!! I catch myself doing that during the editing and think, “why did you flip it?!”
@AgateDad see, you're an even better creator than you thought, you always want the best angle/view without even planning it
That's my thought too. Why did he flip it? It looks right to me, too, but why? It's not like there's an up or down. It's just a rock! lol

I love labradorite, stunningly beautiful and the flash changes so much in different light.
That Labradorite is GORGEOUS!!!!!
Congratulations, Agate Dad. Looks like the winter holidays came early for you this year. The rest of us will just have to envy you for awhile.
Looks like the perfect size saw for a lot of projects! Love those really colorful banded agates. So beautiful! 😊
Love your videos and I’ve got to say that I’m thrilled to see your new saw w/ a vice option! I’ve been a rock enthusiast forever but as a nurse my heart skips beats when we watch you cut smaller rocks by hand!🫣
The 5:22 Malawi agate looks like a butterfly🦋

Wow I have no words to explain those extraordinary minerals 😮
Wow that's a great saw if you can use a wet saw in the house clean and safely its a win WIN for everyone! Awesome rocks too!
You got that right!
wow, beutiful, I L O V E green stones and that pattern was special. And, YEAH, Jasper is my number one favorite.
Nice cutting video. Sow(rhymes with cow) belly is uncurled unsmoked bacon….fresh side, if you will. The sow belly agate was really prettier than I expected. Thanks!

Awesome!
Congratulations on the new saw. I like the vice. I can see more consistant slabs from it. Any show with cut, cut, cut is my kind of show. Thanks for all the great reveals. See ya next time😊 😷⚒
What amazes me is how different each side is

That’s an amazing set up and that saw looks incredible!
Nice addition to the shop. Look forward to seeing more cutting.
I had ton of fun too. Really enjoy your videos. Thank you.
I feel like we lucked out with so many cuts on this video. Much appreciated
Nice new saw and the agates are amazing! Thanks!
At the instant 5:07, the two pieces of agate look perfectly like the wings of a butterfly. It looks as if you were holding a butterfly with your fingers. It is only missing the body with the antennae. 😄😄
When you said that one looked like a bunny i was saying oh a duck! Lol
Me too😊
I see the duck too!
The orange glow from zebra calcite under UV is amazing. I bought the 6" saw first still need to buy a bigger saw. Have a great weekend.
Those Zebra calcite pieces are so pretty!!! I enjoyed the review on the 6" saw, but I love the pieces you cut even more😂
Have a Blessed weekend Taylor🙏
You too ❤️
Lab-row-dite. Really pretty stone!
I'm excited too!!
Labradorite is my favorite stone besides agates lol
I noticed that the new saw just sounds like a wasp or bee. I like it.
I speed up the clips
Time to sit and relax with no distraction.... IT'S CUTTING TIME !!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉
That blue one❤❤. Ad all the other ones too❤
I love Laboradite. All the best.
Same :)

Wow! Agate at 8:55 is the Northern Lights!
I've had the 6" for awhile now. I like it but it needs a drain!
Yeah that part is funky, I use an old bottle and squish it, it sucks up the water and then I dump it out and repeat. Then I use a 60ml syringe to suck up the remaining water.
6" saw was a good choice.
🙌
I like that little saw with the vice to hold the little rocks so I can keep my fingers safe.
Congratulations for that super tool! I love your Chanel
Thank you Sir 💚 respect from SA
Looks like a lava flow!
I liked the last one that was black and white. The left side looked like there was a polar bear down at the bottom peeking out of the stone!
Nice saw and the vice made nice slabs, I think it would be a good starting saw, one day I will get one
Definitely considering getting one of these saws for black Friday.
Nice! Make sure to use my code to save 10% on accessories!
You could make beautiful game playing pieces on that saw, with the vice.
Beautiful rocks. I like your new toy 😆great cuts. Thank you for sharing.
They sure are!
I have that same saw with vise. overall, I am happy with it. I noticed that your vise does not have any nylon bushings on the slider. You may want to check that out as it would eliminate slop and rattling noises.
That’s a good idea!l thanks!
Labrador-ight my favorite!
I love the littles. ❤

So beautiful
Im happy with the 10 inch saw that I got from you I use it all the time but that is something that I can't use inside so maybe in the future I will get a smaller one
I liked the first Malaui agate.
4:47 volcanic looking😎
Loved seeing the vise! I've been wondering if it'd be worth getting one to add to my saw.
I don’t think it would hurt!
I can see the advantage of the vice.
Watching and listening from pinas iloilo city 🏙️🌆❤️🌺🌹🙉🌞.
I'm new to collecting these beautiful minerals my zebra calcite is beautiful
Watching it a second time, I do see the bunny...I first saw a duck! XD Chonky little duck! XD

Lab-brad-or-ite .... named after where it was originally found in Newfoundland Canada
Did you see the fire on that labradorite?!😊
Fabulous selection to cut. Nice reveals! Play your guitar for us!
Hahaha I need to get the rust off first!
Very nice cuts. The rainforest agate, how will you decide what side to be the top of the cab. They are gorgeous and hard to figure what side. ???
That’s a tough decision!
I’m trying to get some PPE What kind of breathing apparatus do I get?
I really the water system you have for the cab king. Where can I get that that water system?
Thank you for showing us your rocks. I appreciate the Christian attitude and energy you have. 😊
very pretty
I like your 10” but a 6” still works 😊
They both work and work well together :) love them both!
Как всегда, красота . Спасибо.
Labradorite is my favorite. Say Labrador and then ite.
I really apreciate what you doing, you doing thing that i do and it make me feel more like a normal person.
Like carrying a big rock tru a river 😂
You are very normal ❤❤❤
What would you recommend for someone who can only get one saw and tumbler? I am finding larger rocks than the agates. I think the 10" would be better for geodes and river rock size. Thanks
labradorite is pronounced like labrador (like the dog!) and then ite (like mite/might but w/o the m!)
Thanks!
What a great new saw! How much are the replacement blades? I'm looking at a lap saw and its related costs. Thanks!
Check on Hi Techs website with their blades and other accessories linktr.ee/AgateDad
I just got back from Crater of Diamonds State Park in Arkansas. I bought an identification card and found everything but a diamond. Two kinds are too soft but the others i wonder about
...cutting open.
Batu Labrador saya liat sangat bagus sekali..
I would like to buy same like your HITECH maching
Where did you get your rocks that you cut today?
How would a tile saw work? Just getting started.
It would work just not as good of cuts, louder, and messier.
It looks like a hand on the left side at 6:48

I wish I would of invested in this 6@ instead of the 4/5” one :)
I get it!
Is calcite the white with straps ??
Zebra calcite

Reminds me of abalone Shell
It's a shame you can't raise the blade up, but nice you don't need a hose in your house.
The arbor setup is actually very good for how much blade you get
I have some gemstone material I want to send you. How do I do that?
