Happy Maggot Monday! There's still time to vote in the latest poll for my next music video. I know all the songs already, so this is purely for the video itself. Next song reaction will be The Blister Exists. Thanks for watching this one! :)
Only sometimes during the reactions, but I'm wearing headphones so she has no idea. But while I'm editing, she's usually sleeping on the desk. She hears these songs plenty though. :D
Hey can you react to metabolic by Slipknot, it's there heaviest song. Yes heavier than disasterpiece. I just wanna see your reaction to the brutal scream in the middle of the song. It's about his father I'm pretty sure
Ohhh yeah! This one is so good. I have been waiting patiently for you to get to this, and Goodbye, and If Rain Is What You Want. Much love, great reacts.
You are most definitely a Maggot! I was thoroughly impressed that you got the transition for Solway Firth! This might be my favorite reaction, you were like a little girl that got every present she wanted and each present was better than the one before.😂 In a recent interview about the upcoming album, Clown talked about how much Corey surprised him, and how awesome it was to watch his favorite vocalist on this album. No, I couldn’t know how I’m gonna die. I’ve had a dances with the Reaper and I’ve accepted the fact that I’m gonna go when I’m gonna go. I’m gonna live my life the way I want to in the meantime. The Pinhead dad joke, hahaha! Oh and “What’s Next” leads into Spiders but not needed for a “Spiders” reaction.
today i was listening to this song and thought about you reacting to this song, now it has just uploaded..and im so glad..Thank you both, you and my luck
Tell me how i'm gonna die can be taken two ways. It could be refering to someone telling him he is going to die due to how he is living his life, be it from drugs, violence, depression, etc. Or it could be him asking god to hurry it up and show him how he will die. Both tie in to the next line, because he is already dead inside (gone away) and leaving the situation. And even more darkly, it somewhat may refer to it not mattering what might kill him in the future, because he already intends to kill himself before any of that happens. I am really glad you checked this out and that you liked it :) personal favorite off of WANYK. As I have said before, its an incredibly personal song to me. It got me through a post depression rough spot where i almost relapsed into it. The song itself ties into moving on from depression, and the people who failed you during it. There is regret and scars, but having to accept what it is. He brings up his exe's martyr syndrome here. And he compares it to a ghoul manifesto (when the living eat the dead to sustain themselves). I.e, she fed on being there for him to make herself feel good. And it didn't help, it is just someone taking advantage of a broken person. Overall, to me, the song asks an important question i always had, 'how did no one notice how far gone I was?'. And in the end, even if that stings to ask, you have to accept that it is up to yourself to save yourself. Also, minor edit (and yes, i can go on all day about how this song accurately portrays moving on from depression and suicidal tendencies): tell me how you loved a lie can be read as how people, when they see you lash out or withdraw during depression, just say you are showing the 'real you' and that the real you is a bad person, and that you made a mask to appeal to them in the first place, instead of realizing that maybe you need help. While the irony is during depression, most people put on a mask of happiness to avoid alienating people.
@@MusicCatsandCoffee glad ya did, sorry for the fifty edits and the story book. Modified the comment while watching the video to answer a few apparent question marks you had lol. My bad. 🤣
First, I really wouldn't like to know how I'd die. I'm already too paranoid. Second, when Corey said WANYK would be "Iowa levels of heavy" everybody was expecting an equally angry album, but what came out was this masterpiece, that absolutely shows how much they've evolved musically and personally. You can tell they're not the 2001 guys anymore, obviously. Not only that, you can see that each song speaks for themselves being unique in their own way. It was a great surprise for me, I thought they were already tired and just doing some fan service putting out another album, I'm glad I was wrong. Obs: FUCK YEAH! The Blister Exists is one of my all time favorites, is on my top 3, absolutely great song.
@@CaioViniciusMaciel21 Yes I agree with that he has found a better way to express his anger! I just meant pure lyrical bile was not up front on WANYK as it was on Iowa!

This song has grown on me SO much in the last 12 hours, wow. It's getting hard to rank the songs on this album in my head, haha. My top 3 are probably Orphan, Spiders, and Not Long for This World.
Great video Lauren :) This album has, in my opinion, the best Slipknot lyrics. This just leaves me with even more hype for the next one, which should release this year. About your question: no, I would never want to know how I'm going to die. Imagine if it was a car accident, I would never want to get in one again lol At 11:55, that's Sid work right there. 14:35 I'M IMPRESSED! And hey don't hate yourself, you're awsome! Never stop pausing the music!

Yeah Shawn Clown guy loves Corey & think he's amazing & he said in a recent interview Corey is his favorite Writer/singer Because clown is like a painter & Corey is the masterpiece to his art
For anyone who is feeling frustrated/having a bad day: 1. Go to this dropped-pitch version of this song: ruclips.net/video/vlKf9ruTxuU/видео.html 2. When it reaches 3:20, set the video to play at 0.75x speed. You can switch it back to normal speed when it reaches 3:49 This will make Not Long For This World sound more dense, and even more emotionally crashing and satisfying. Enjoy :)
Tortilla guy is in the bend instead of chris fehn(the long nose guy)and he is just doing percussions and back-up vocals And about the intro:there is sid and pinhead for sure
percussion and keg parts written by Shawn almost slipknot songs but Shawn and other percussionist ( Chris or Tortilla) play together. the synth parts or piano parts written by shawn too but Craig plays. Also Slipknots main songwriters were Paul and Joey, after Paul and Joey main songwriters Jim and Shawn
You got it! Its goes right into Solway Firth. Also no I would not like to know how I would die. Would be another thing to worry about. Also have you heard of a loophole to that question? As you said in your example, people would probably avoid doing whatever activity that would kill them, but the loophole is that death comes back at you with even worse ways to die, and if you keep avoiding it it just gets worse and worse. It's and interesting thought, I think about it whenever I get asked this question so I'd rather keep the "easiest" death I have right now lol.
A bit of info, Pinheads pins are real. Or at least they were, for a long time. Fairly sharp metal spikes flailing around on his head. These guys are nuts.
As someone who suffers from anxiety, part of me would want to know and part of me wouldn’t, because I’m not sure if knowing would increase or decrease my anxiety if that makes any sense 🤷🏻 Was sulfur the actual MV? I only ask because it’s rare that lyric videos get blocked. Having said that if you put something over top of the video (a watermark of sorts) it usually helps. Best of luck because that song is at the top of my list all because of one line. I’ll tell you which one if you’re really interested.

Yes! Its a good day 😎 cave dwelling corey 😂😂had me dying. But awesome reaction. Honestly my personal favorite off of W.A.N.Y.K. Just so many onion layers in this one
The drum part you hear at the beginning is done by Jay. The only time you’ll really hear Chris and clown play their drum kits is during the self titled, Iowa and vol. 3 era and really only a handful of songs from those albums have them playing. all the drumming part you hear are most likely done by Jay/Joey.
