Hello everyone, in this video, I discuss the average PE teaching salary in six different states. The reason I’m analyzing six different states is because there are only six states that require physical education. Of course, there are PE teachers in many states and cities in the U.S but I decided to just analyze six places. I also analyzed different salary schedules for licensed teachers from four different school districts. I explain what a salary schedule is and the factors that go into a teaching salary.

Teaching salaries vary from different factors. A teacher’s salary can depend on the degree they have, how much experience they have, where they’re teaching, what type of school they’re teaching at, if they can speak more than one language, and so much more.

Love the info! In Puerto Rico its 32,000 anually but the apartments are like $420 and up a month and house prices are cheaper ofcourse compared to the US.

I went the alternative certification route after getting my bachelors in Kinesiology. I feel like it’s harder for me to get hired as a PE teacher.

@@jeannelle_ summers off no weekends off all major holidays but teachers are overworked and underpaid : / VP Harris said she would raise teacher pay haven’t heard a peep from her/ teachers complain about having to change their lesson plan totally to distance learning and they don’t get paid for that all the bail out money schools got teachers didn’t get a dime raise wise or support staff who is always forgotten/ let’s not also forget about the debt that students are racking up for “happiness”
@@Vegas-tb1gm true. My husband is also a teacher so we don’t make much 😂. But I mean we enjoy our jobs. If it does get too stressful I’d try something else.

@@jeannelle_ i want to be a PE teacher yes in school now, aid in PE 3yrs aid the classroom 5 yrs. I luv your energy and PE is one of the few subjects majorly of students enjoy. Extra eyes on the class w multiple teachers. Most likely I’ll marry a teacher too smh

Depends on the school districts. Before applying email the school districts HR (human resource) and ask specific questions about if your degree is transferrable.

would you have an estimate pay for what id make? i live in Lawrenceville Georgia and am going to get either a masters of bachelors whatever i can do in four years (I take ap's) And i will have experience as before i teach i will be a marine officer which is basically leading and teaching enlistee's i also would like to play some sort of college sport basketball or football I know spanish as well and i would also like to be a coach if that would make extra money would you have an estimate for this? and how many hours daily?
Hi Trever, this all depends on the school district you work at. If you know what school district you want to apply for I’d google “_____ school district salary schedule” and hopefully you can find their salary schedule. Usually if it’s a public school you’re able to look for an estimate on how much you’d make.

Hi Claudia, check the colleges/universities near you and research if they have a teaching program with a PE endorsement. Email the academic advisors at the colleges/universities you plan on going but def make sure they have a PE endorsement or program.

Depends where in the US, what city you’re in, and what school district you work for.
