Love this troop. Kayembe's got so much personality - lol hope he is always a bit of a handful. 😂❤ Extra thanks for the close up of Mokolo's great face, Larry. Beautiful footage.
What a treat for a Monday morning! 🤩 It’s wonderful to see the troupe enjoying their beautiful outdoor enclosure: Mokolo keeping everybody safe, Nneka doing her Spider-man moves, Kayembe staying close to Fredrika, Tusa having a quiet snack in the sunshine and Kebi eating for two❣️Watching Kayembe climb, I think he has inherited Nneka’s athletic abilities. ❤ Thanks for another fantastic zoo visit, Larry!
Thank you for the wonderful videos, I truly appreciate them. I love this family so much. Kayembe is getting to be a big boy, he's a good boy. I worry about Nneki(Nneka). Do you know if the caregivers have had her hormones checked. She seems depressed and sensitive. Their hormones can get out of whack like a woman's. Thanks again 😊💞😊💞😊💞
@@sharondunlap9908 Is being a loner something common? They all have their own personalities. As a baby, Tusa was raised by humans. As she grew up she became very vocal (copying humans?). Now, she does not hesitate to yell, and yell loud- like screaming-if she does not get her way. My guess is, that sets her apart from other gorillas, and has led to her being off by herself often.
There is another gorilla,Megan at the Dallas zoo that self soothes by holding both ears too! And Komomo in Japan holds 1 ear. There are others but it’s very interesting behavior! I used to hold my ear when I was little😄
It was a question that was asked about Sekani at Little Rock zoo. Insecurity, frustration, fear were some of the reasons why captive gorillas do this. There were some others and examples like loud noise, going from room to room or the loss of a troop member.
Omg so a sweet dear boy how he after Fredderika Looks oh i crying a wonder beautiful Black Gorilla i love she so much all best Animals ever my heart beats only for she forever 🦍❤️❤️❤️❤️🫶🫶🫶🫶🫶
Oh, practice and help from the volunteers. I sometimes have difficulty recognizing Nneka vs. Kebi. Kebi’s head and body seem wider, and her tufts of hair behind/above her ears often covers the tops of her ears. But I don’t always get a good angle to see faces/head, or Nneka is having a bad hair day and I’m confused.🤷♂️. Freddie and Tusa are pretty easy to tell apart.
I deeply love this gorilla family❤❤❤
They are so special. Adorable too. 😁👋
Happy birthday to lovely Fredrika!Wish her love, health and happiness and many more years to come!❤🎉💐
👍😁. Yes, we are all wishing for many more good years.
Little Kayembe's 'coat' is quite hairy, for one so young. Ha, ha! It suits him.
He is a big puff ball. 🤣.
I’m so glad this popped up, Kayembe is a little toddler and getting big. Thanks for posting.

👍 Thank you.
I agree - the close-ups of Mokolo were wonderful - he has such an expressive face, full of intelligence. There’s a lot going on behind those eyes❣️
Thank you for this rare treat of visiting with these fascinating and lovely creatures.
👍😁
Great video! Kebi looks like she’s ready for this baby! Won’t be too long! So exciting and excited for Kay to have his brand new sibling day!🎉
We can’t wait either! Thanks for sharing a comment. 😁👋
Kay is getting so big! it's good to see his growth. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for watching. I don’t know what their vets do with them. They do have a full staff on hand should anything be needed. 👍
Great footage! Which gorilla is pregnant?
Kebi is pregnant.
I really love your work, i love primates but lately have been most interested in watching these gorillas
Thank you 😁
Absolutely beautiful video. Thanks also for the information bits.
You are welcome! Thanks for the feedback. 👋😁
Is Kayembe imitating Freddie because she was checking a scar or something from her check up?
🤷♂️
Is Tusa kind of a loner? 3:11
Yes she is.
Awww that makes me sad, is it something common?

@@larrysanimalsafari ok thank you for explaining I just hate seeing any animal alone. I need to go see Zaki soon.

The ears…hmm, I know a toddler that grabs his ears . I thought that was just when babies are tired. I hadn’t thought of it as a soothing behavior.

It’s the first time I’ve seen any in Cleveland place their hands over their ears. But I have only seen them come through that door about 10 times.

You mentioned Fredrika was getting used to being back with the group, how long was she gone?
Just 1 day
How do you tell them apart Larry ?
