  • Put your Bluetooth seatbelts on, cuz this is going to be a ride! I originally thought I'd complete this teardown in one video. Ha! Not with this speaker! Also, have I met me? In this first video I focused on getting it opened up, without irreparably damaging the Soundlink Micro. I tried to keep it concise, while resisting the temptation to just jump-cut to it being opened up, like I've seen in many other videos. Yeah, the video is longer, as I wanted to show the whole process.
Note: While it would have been nice for Bose to make this speaker a bit easier to open, I feel it important to note that they have other speakers that have replaceable batteries. Also, this was their first speaker to have an IP67 rating (not IP68 like I said in the video). So, I'm giving them a pass on mechanically securing and sealing it such that no water or dust would get in.
Another Note: Do not attempt to open this speaker without first fully discharging the battery.

This Bose Soundlink Micro speaker. Does the rubber material withstand bumps or falls? Is the battery life not damaged quickly? Do you recommend it to me? They sell it to me for $90 dollars, do you think it's a good price?

As I had no knowledge as to where the lithium-ion battery was located, using a heat gun was out of the question. Now that I know where it is located, I am still not sure I would have used one. The clips that hold the speaker together were the biggest challenge in getting the speaker open.

Perhaps I would now after discovering where the lithium-ion cell was located inside the speaker. But, I didn't know where was until I got it open. So....🤷🏼‍♂️

Bien hecha? Para que? Su vida util depende de cuanto dure su batería de litio ya que es imposible del destape para recambio de la bateria ¿crees que bose lo hace asi para por que le importa lo bien fabricado? No, lo hace es para que compres otro nuevo cuando la bateria falle.
