Because Buddhism is truth seeking-based and encouraging the intellectual enhancement so
it's a bit new for any Buddhist to be. It decimates all uncorrolated written myths being narrated in other theists and requires ones to explore, notice themselves, value peace of mind and compassion and their surroundings with a lot of rationales and facts as it seems not sth that one wants or coin them to be, law of karma or law of cause and effect, meditation practice excluding daily praying, merit making at your best ie. the easiest way is being decent themselves and treating others right, respectfully and non-discrimatorially, putting their self-effort, inner strength before coming to each sensible conclusion for each hindrance, called wisdom, in which ultimately leads themselves to know where the problem and how the best to solve it and once gaining their appreciation in life by Buddha's teachings. They will totally have full faith in Buddhism. Buddhism leads Science and scientific method and cognitive mind processing are of the integral parts. Hence, for one's to leave their own previous religions especially with dogmatic orientation and god creation belief needs a bit of time to re-align their thinking and learning processes with the perennial truth and logic based teaching as well as wholistic :body mind soul : connection of practice being emboldened in Buddhism meditation. All this secret were long proclaimed 2600 years ago by Buddha and nowaday all truths that matter are fast forwardingly unraveled and all no deity-creation concepts will finally opened once time keeps progressing on and the world will be according to BUDDHISM. We are the oldies with the progressive minds and avantgarde approaches to tackle sufferings incurred in human's daily life. 😇😊

Buddha said buddhism is appropiate for the ones who are trainable .Buddhism is the religion of self training not begging praying or sacrifice .One teaching is "you yourself is your true reliance , others are not your true reliance ,so you should train yourself on the right ways "

Years ago I was lead to believe that to practise Nichiren’s Buddhism correctly, one had to attend meetings and belong to an organisation. Nowadays I’ve come to understand that anyone, regardless of whether they become a ‘member’ of a group or not, can benefit from their own personal practice. The reason for this is that the Law Itself represents the identity of what some now refer to as the ‘unified field of all consciousnesses’. In other words, it’s the essence behind all existence and non-existence, the ultimate creative force behind planets, stars, nebulae, people, animals, trees, fish, birds and all phenomena, manifest or latent. All matter and intelligence is simply waves or ripples manifesting to and from this core source. Consciousness (enlightenment) is itself the true creator of everything that is, ever was and ever will be, right down to the minutest particles of dust, each being an individual ripple or wave. The big difference between chanting ‘Nam-myoho-renge-kyo’ and most conventional prayers is that instead of depending on a middle man to connect us to our state of enlightenment, we’re able to do it ourselves by tapping directly into it by way of self-produced sound vibration. On the subject of ‘what or who is God?’, when we compare the concept of ‘God’, as a separate entity that is forever watching down on us, to Nichiren’s teachings, the true omnipotence, omniscience and omnipresence of what most people call ‘God’ is our enlightenment, which exists nowhere else but within us. When the disciples asked Jesus where the Kingdom of God is, didn’t he tell them that it was within them? Some say that ‘God’ is an entity that can never be seen. I think that the vast amount of information that is constantly being conveyed via electromagnetic waves gives us proof of how an invisible state of what many call ‘God’ could actually exist. It’s widely known that certain data being relayed by way of electromagnetic waves has the potential to help bring about extraordinary and powerful effects, including instant global awareness of something or mass emotional reaction. As well as many other things, it’s also common knowledge that these waves can be used to detonate a bomb or to even enable NASA to control the movements of a robot as far away as the Moon or Mars. However, none of this is possible without a receiver to decode the information that is being transmitted. Without the receiver, the information would remain impotent. In a similar way, it’s very important for us to have our receiver switched on, so that we can activate a clear and precise understanding of our life, all other life and who we and all else that exists truly is. Chanting ‘Nam-myoho-renge-kyo’ helps us to achieve this, because it allows us to reach into the core of our enlightenment and switch it on. That’s because, as I mentioned before, the sound vibration of ‘myoho-renge-kyo’ represents the combination of the three major laws that underlie all existence. ‘Myoho’ represents the Law of latency and manifestation (Nature), and consists of two alternating states. One state of ‘myo’ is where everything in life that’s not obvious to us exists. This includes our stored memories when we’re not thinking about them, our hidden potential and inner emotions whenever they’re not being expressed, our desires, our fears, our wisdom, happiness, karma, and more importantly, our enlightenment. The other state, ‘ho’, is where everything in Life exists whenever it becomes obvious to us, such as when a thought pops up from our memory, whenever we experience or express our emotions, or whenever a good or bad effect comes forth from our karma. When anything becomes apparent, it simply means that it has come out of the state of ‘myo’ (dormancy/latency) and into a state of ‘ho’ (manifestation). It’s the difference between consciousness and unconsciousness, being awake or asleep, or knowing and not knowing something. The second law, ‘renge’, governs and controls the functions of ‘myoho’ - ‘ren’ meaning cause and ‘ge’ meaning effect. These two laws, ‘myoho’ and ‘renge’, work together simultaneously and underlie all spiritual and physical existence. The final and third part of the tri-combination, ‘kyo’, is what allows the law ‘myoho’ to integrate with the law ‘renge’. It’s the great, invisible thread of energy that fuses and connects together all Life and matter, as well as the past, present and future. It is often termed the Universal Law of Communication. Perhaps it could even be compared to the ‘string theory’ that some scientists now suspect exists. Just as our body cells, thoughts, feelings and all else are constantly fluctuating within us, everything in the world around us and beyond is also in a constant state of flux, in accordance with these three laws. In fact, more things are going back and forth between the two states of ‘myo’ and ‘ho’ in a single moment than it would ever be possible for us to calculate or describe. And it doesn't matter how big, small, important or trivial anything may appear to be, everything that’s ever existed in the past, exists now, or will exist in the future, exists only because of the workings of 'myoho-renge-kyo'. These three laws are also the basis of the four fundamental forces and if they didn't function, neither we nor anything else could go on existing. Simply put, all forms of existence, including the seasons, day and night, birth, death and so on, are moving forward in an ongoing flow of continuation, rhythmically reverting back and forth between the two states of ‘myo’ and ‘ho’ in accordance with ‘renge’ and by way of ‘kyo’. Even stars are dying and being reborn again in accordance with the workings of ‘myoho-renge-kyo’. ‘Nam’ is like a password or key; it allows us to reach deep within our life and fuse with or become one with ‘myoho-renge-kyo’. On a more personal basis, nothing ever happens by chance or coincidence, it’s the causes that we’ve made in our past, or are presently making, that determine how these laws function uniquely in each of our lives from moment to moment, as well as our environment. By facing east, in harmony with the direction that the Earth turns and rhythmically chanting ‘Nam-myoho-renge-kyo’ repeatedly for a minimum of ten minutes daily, any of us can gain actual proof of its effects in our life. By building up a force from within, it allows us to pierce through even the thickest layers of our karma and reach directly into the ultimate wisdom of our and all other life. Unlike the fantasy of a magic wand to make our problems vanish, chanting ‘Nam-myoho-renge-kyo’ awakens our innate wisdom and brings to the surface our hidden potential, a much clearer realisation and understanding of our good and bad karma, and positive ways that we can both cope with and change our negative circumstances into positive ones. It brings forth the wisdom that can free us from the ignorance and stupidity that is preventing us from accepting and being proud of who we truly are, regardless of our race, colour, gender or sexual preference. It also allows us to see and understand things outside of ourselves more clearly and, by way of the electromagnetic forces of which we are all a part, helps us to connect with, or draw towards us, any external circumstances or help that we need. Proof of this effect soon becomes obvious to anyone who chants ‘Nam-myoho-renge-kyo’ on a regular basis. Of course, the more sincerely we chant, the more powerful and faster its effect will be.

Re the last point ....prayer does influence events because prayers influence the person praying and he/she becomes empowered by it ...also knowing that people are praying for your benefit will empower to succeed, recover for illness, perform etc etc...whether or not a supreme being is involved is your own concern ...I personally believe there is and His holy spirit is the empowering agent.

budhism which is why all the scholars from all over the world struggle to describe what happened on the day that buddha became buddha . As we know Albert eistein found the speed of light is the fastest and nothing goes beyond that . But only a buddha can invent that only the speed of thoughts can't go beyond any limits of speed . To simplify this let''s apply the eistain's theory of relativity . He found out the if we can travel faster than lights we can travel through time, past ,present and futur. but our thoughts can do this within milliseconds which means we can travel through all past and future by our thoughts . once purify our mind we can generate a very powerful speed that can travel our thoughts beyond our present life and search our fast and future lives because only the mind knows where or what we have been in our past lives. All our memories is stored in our mind and you need to power it by meditating and conecting to the universe . thats what budhha did he was able to see his past lives ,all the past lives of all beings including animals ,gods and spirits . and he invented that all the beings are suffering and reborn again and again because of not knowing FOUR NOBLE TRUTHS

Buddhism and Jainism are part of the Sramana culture that existed long before Buddha and Mahavir. Sramana was more loosely held ideology which does not believe in collectivism. Collectivism (to bring people under one order) is something that usually ends up into exploitation of many by some and Sraman principles were for self. Buddhism and Jainism have very similar principles as they both have same ideological parent but the evil of collectivism has segregated them into different religions and both sides claiming theirs to be superior.
Both of these religions have further separated into smaller collections (like Mahayana or Theravad or others in Buddhism and Dighambar and Swhembars and further classifications in Jains). Both the religions are based on karma and winning your own material desires by thorough introspection.
We have entered times when even the most non collective ideologies of Sramans are getting exploited by collectivism.

Like we need different medication for different illness, we need different religion for different mental disposition. One believe system for entire universe is not possible. We all learn from one another and use it in our life if that's making us a better person. having said that, it is good to know the true nature of reality despite we being in a different believe system...the great "Dependent Arising"...

Is this Science????????? According to the Buddhist scriptures, “ Buddha teaches about an underworld, the earth, the mid region of devas inhabiting world of passion and desires, the higher region of devas inhabiting the world of forms and perception and the highest region of abstract world known as Brahma Lokas inhabiting great beings.
Buddha teaches, the earth as the centre of universe, resting on the Mount Meru(Mahameru paruwathaya), surrounded by seven con-centric rings of mountains and seven oceans, with the hells of asuras below and the world of devas above. Buddha also teaches that the whole cosmos is represented in the inner world a human beings.
Buddha claims that he has visited his dead mother Mahamaya ( Mayadevi) at Thauthisa develowa, where he has preached his mother and devas for 30 days without food or drinks or sleep and the davas have made a golden ladder for Buddha to come down to earth. Please stop comparing 2500 years old iron aged magic, illusions, and mythologies of Buddhism and Hinduism with modern day biology and physics. It’s absolutely a crime against humanity and great a robbery.

Confucianism is more scientific because it encourages education value while Buddhism does not talk about education and stresses too much re-birth. The personal history of Lord Buddha is based on reincarnation, which cannot be proved until today.

Confucianism is regressive and conservative. It teaches mindless obedience to elders and patriarchal system - not relevant in today's free thinking society where everyone is equal

Theories has been advocated as the doctrines of Buddhism of which its founder never heard of, and statements have been made up on the modern flat form which could astonish no one so much as Gouthama the Buddha and his early followers.
Gouthama the Buddha’s own words according to the ancient texts, as follows are terribly dishonest and purely ignorant, certainly not science but fairies for children.
“O Monks I can utilize all the psychic powers as
I like…. I can appear as many though, I am just one I appear as two persons, and they merge in to one. I will appear to be seen by all but I can remain unseen by anyone. I can go through walls, fortresses, rocks, without touching just as moving through the air. I can go inside water and also on water. I can travel through the air like birds. I can walk in the air as I walking on earth. I can touch the sun and moon with my hands. I can extend my divine eye as far as I want………
According to Buddha, our earth is a flat disc resting on the ‘Mount Meru’ surrounded by seven con-centric rings of mountains and seven oceans.
While Buddha was so capable to see and travel through the entire universe, how come Buddha did not know that the earth was round and earth was revolving around the sun, but not the other way around????? Why did not he know that the earth was round or elliptical or even more precise shape?
We are 21st century, space travelling bipedal apes capable of technological marvels, and we have a unified theory about our own existence as well as our universe and beyond supported by verifiable and factual evidences. All the way to the ‘Big Bang’ and expanding universe to modern day synthesis of evolution combined with James Watson and Francis Cricks’s DNA mutations to Francis Bakan’s Human Genome Project and much more.
It is terribly wrong to compare or interpret, extremely shallow metaphysical statements uttered by a 2500 years old, ancient wandering mendicants with our modern day science.
They were nothing more than primitive clansmen with limited knowledge about the human life and our globe. Those primitive spiritual preachers had no idea as to what caused day and night to occurs, seasons to change, lightening to strike, rain or weather to change, moon to come and go or even to explain a rainbow.

it's unclear what is AE quotes and your insertions...this appears to be a manipulation. None of us have any idea what this world will be like in 1,000 years. Perhaps none of today's religions will even exist then, but new ones. Ergo, you are drawing conclusions that support your belief which means this is biased and poppycock lol

+Abhinav Kumar I think that AKDGsonic believed that Tibetan Buddhism with its Mahayana and vajrayana are illegitimate! and that the tulku(reincarnate lama) dynasties are fake and essentially wrong view.
The argument comes down to if the Mahayana teachings are from Buddha. The Therevada Buddhists believe that the mahayana sutras are essentially false.
If i may offer my opinion, i would say that Tibetan Buddhism is legitimate and that Buddha Shakyamuni would have approved of many of the teachings and styles of teaching, however the fundamentals of Buddhism are the four seals( as i understand it)
      1. all compounded phenomena are impermenant ( annicca)
      2. all emotions are suffering (ducca)
      3. sunnata (emptiness) is the real state of everything (difficult to explain)
      4. enlightenment is beyond concepts (must be experienced, can't be described adequately)
i heard the above from a Tibetan lama, therefore I'm biased. but the seals are powerful and transcend the maroon dress, bells and ornament. the bells and ornament do have symbolic significance however and need not get in the way. The tulku system is probably not absolutely necessary, however thousands will benefit from them therefore i can't condemn it.

I googled Lamaism, and this link below explains Lamaism. AKDGsonic meant that Buddhism is real yes, only that Lamaism is a fake Buddhism so we will know there is a type of fake Buddhism to take heed of and to avoid.
