Got to see them in Orlando. Watched sound check, played pool and drank a few beers before the show. The most affable bunch of fellow musicians I've ever met
First concert I ever saw was Helix on this tour. My youngest brother got a Teddy Ruxbin for Christmas,, I remember putting this cassette into it. There is something hilarious about Teddy Ruxbin singing Helix, Wild In The Streets.
For some reason this song got into my head and I haven't heard it in 20+ years at least. The video has everything 80's. The hair, drum stick twirls, guitar tossing, 2 bass drums (even though the song doesn't call for it...can easily be played with a single bass). The song was just as good as I remembered and possibly better with the song structure.
When this song came out in 1987, I thought they had the world by the ass, but it seemed like they never got any (or much) heat from it. Damn shame. They rock!
I remember putting this tape in my sony walkman™ and thinking that they had "finally made it". I guess it's like what Metallica said about ANVIL "maybe it was that Canadian thing". Helix NEEDED to move to California, away from butt-plug london ontario, to have really made it.
These dudes are like the Canadian version of Motley Crue (don't even bring up Nickelback they don't deserve to be mentioned in the same breath as these guys)
I seen them in Hamilton in 90 and what a show. So down to earth, they even had drinks with us after the show. It was truly memorable.
RIP Greg. You kicked our ass for 40 years. Thank you.
Summer of 1987 in some dive bar in NE Ohio, USA. My ears rang for a week - the ole days!!!
RIP Fritz.. Im so honoured to have met and partied with you in the 80's and the 2000's... youre 100% a rocker..
Got to see them in Orlando.

Lmao what? I love both Motley Crue and Nickelback, but Nickelback are waaay more talented. Vince Neil was never a great singer.
HELIX is One of the GREATEST Underestimated Bands. I Can't Take it . The World is at LOSS . THIS BAND KICKS THE REST...
SoundS like acdc looks like DLR

@@viniciuscampos8750 I'm not really into British bands so much.
@@timmturner What a shame
@@viniciuscampos8750 that's not to say they aren't great, just I don't follow them so I don't know.
They'd have been a lot bigger if they were prettier. 😝

Tell that to AC\DC
