Marc, thank you so much! ❤️🧸
I’ve been looking for an app (I’m more technology than a book person) with all emotions organized, studied and explained. And I was thinking “I wish some smart guy from those Harward/Yales does it so I use it and get results, I grow and shape in the right/productive direction (and don’t have to waste time after retraining myself from the wrong stuff).
Your chart makes so much sense, especially pleasantness and energy axes. I use to blame myself that my first hand emotion was anger but hey there are tons of energy lying there which I can use productively!
So much easier to live now!
I’ll read (listen) to your book! 💖
I wish you all the best! 🌸

Do you have any openings in your department??! Love exploring EI. I, too, was picked on growing up. You're right.. memories of my early schooling just aren't there. I was unhappy. The picking on caused me to be shy and withdrawn. Having an emotionally unavailable mother didn't help matters. I got so sick of hearing "tomorrow's another day" or "you'll get over it" - expressing my emotions was extremely difficult and even now, at 56, it still is. Well, Imma gonna change that! I'm presenting on EI at lunch and learns where I work. This talk was very helpful! Thank you!

Sir, you don't realize your negative beliefs seep into the audience as you speak, bringing the group down at 4:50. If you pump up the audience with fun, carefreeness and passion, most people would feel amazing. And you'd teach them a trick to understanding how their emotion can be changed on command.

the older I get, (time gets more finite!) the more I just want people presenting to just present their stuff - don't try to mix it up with humor, stories, entertainment, audience involvement - now I know why there was a sense of irritation with me from students when I was teaching college group piano - they just wanted to do and learn the stuff, be ready for next quiz, and that may have seemed dull to me, but was about all THEY could handle
