the digital speedometer is so beautiful when it doesn't skip numbers, I know dodge and tesla does this as well. I wish more companies did that my cla 250 seems unerwhelming with the digital guage skipping 10 numbers

@@_TrueDesire_ If i recall, polestar is actually 49% owned by Volvo since July. But i know it was their own company before. Polestar should be a holding company from now on.

18:04 Something to keep in mind with this car and sporty hybrids in general is that they generally don't allow the battery to deplete enough to worry about not having power available. You can see that just from the electric range of the car, which is considerably less than what you'd expect from a car with a 34 kWh battery. A Mazda MX-30 has the same battery size and more than twice the range. Some of that is just because the Polestar 1 has far stronger and less efficient electric motors, as well as a less efficient (hub motors vs the MX-30's transaxle) setup, but the bulk of it is because the Volvo always keeps some juice in reserve.
Exactly, it keeps around +-20kms of range in the batteries if you drive it in AWD or Power mode (it charges the batteries) so you'll never run out of juice and can keep pushing it.
Don't forget about the extra weight of lugging an engine, transmission and fuel

Altijd leuke video's, goed gemonteerd en interessant. Gefeliciteerd met jullie succes! Als ik toch een kleine suggestie mag doen: zeg wat minder vaak 'we got' (en zeker niet uitspeken als 'wie kot'). Als het over onderdelen van de auto gaat, klinkt 'it has' veel beter.
Im not a big luxury/exotic sport guy. Also not huge on hybrids. But holy moly this is one incredibly beautiful, capable vehicle. Would love to have a go with one on the autobahn or a track

I really dont understand what kind of interior he wants when he complains at the dashboard and screen. IMO they are still one of the cleanest looking ones on the new market today, even though they came out like in 2018. Mercedes new infotainment system is way too big and lacks the essential fisical buttons. But this Volvo interior seems to me like a nice sweet spot between that and older cars tech.

I appreciate the detailed previews your videos offer and the drive perspective. However, the hand cam is a bit overwhelming! It's entirely too much unproductive movement for viewers and the angle of the view isn't always the best. Consider using hand and vehicle mounted cams for a better viewing experience.

I don't know how it needs to be done. But either a bigger battery pack, and/or just an engine swap. Something that can give you a lot of grunt still, when the battery dies out. I'd do a crazy inline 5 cylinder Volvo engine turbo swap.

I agree with you bro. Is a little tad too expensive for the interior that looks exactly like my Volvo. At least they should improve it a bit more like tweak it on color or material example brush aluminum over plastic air vents rather than using existing parts from Volvo
They spent a crap load of money on this car tuning a lot of the bits you don't see and putting carbon fiber in it to lessen the weight. So, they pretty much went stock Volvo inside. The point is, the interior is now showing its age. It's time for the next-gen Volvos and that comes later this year. The Precept shows Polestar's next-gen styling and the next-gen Volvo and Polestar show a similar type of style.

It's an interesting car, it has its own charm but no way does it justify the 160k EUR price tag imo. That's beyond ridiculous. At that price range you can get an M5 M8 RS7 E63s GT63s and so on, with some spare change left. Heck even an M5 CS which is a beast on a different level is priced in this range...
