Out of the short amount of time I've spent playing val in like plat-dia ive found it to be far more toxic but in a different way. People care so much more about their rank and elo in that game. I hear all the time like "queue until i hit asc" or like "this is my rankup/derank game" it annoys me. People will start the game 0-4 and just fully give up. In CS people are way more chill. The equivalent rank in cs for dia is probably like MGE but queuing on in those lobbies is just so much more chill
there is no "equivalent rank" when it comes to matchmaking. CSGO match making is useless and the rank means nothing, its also like that to an extent in valorants trash ranking system
i was thinking about this earlier, it’s because you can see your position within the rank on val, if you lose a game and see the -22 rr it’s aggravating, in cs you don’t have to see what you lost so you’ll be more calm about losing

@@quincylinder9738 how good you are at CSGO isn't just how good your aim is though, and the rating system in mm definitely tries to account for other factors too, like impact. Leetify's overall rating rather than its aim rating is probably closer to the system valve uses, and that score doesn't always line up with the leaderboard, as it should.
I feel like csgo you have this crazy personalities like Loba, Pasha, Olofmeister, f0rest, Fallen, Taz, s1mple, boomich, karrygan. Sort of feel like that weird class in your school that sort of failed but everybody still wanted to be in. Somehow csgo players seem less "nerdy" even though they make a living out of gaming. Valorant players on the other hand feels like those rich kids that wore designer clothes just because everybody else had it. That tried to be cool but still always was too scared of what everybody else thinked to really stand out.
You just need to compare what makes a CSGO personality and what makes a Valorant personality famous. A lot of those pros were great people and understood the game at a level that went beyond aim. In Valorant they simply embrace the Drama aspect of the internet and it's all about highlights. It has gone to the point that famous Valorant content creators create rooms with fans just to hit clips they can use later

i think a lot of people are missing the key here. the difference between csgo and valorant is the age of the playerbases. while there is obviously a lot of overlap, valorant players are definitely much younger in general than csgo players. this means that the active valorant community is less mature and more toxic than csgo. in my experience playing both, matchmaking is not noticeably more or less toxic, but i think in the case of the community, the pros, the influencers, etc, it definitely shows.
nah, even when I was playing CSGO back in 2015 when the cs playerbase was younger, it was much better than valorant now. Doesn't matter what the avg age is, valorant simply attracts losers who need to imitate instead of being their own person. Not to say that CS didn't have a ton of immature people back then, but at least they had their own personalities. Obviously this doesn't mean everyone who plays valorant is like that, but the overwhelming majority. Probably just a generational thing and I'm hating on the people

Insane someone can get lucky with carries and make it to global with a .7 rating
@@quincylinder9738 how good you are at CSGO isn't just how good your aim is though, and the rating system in mm definitely tries to account for other factors too, like impact. Leetify's overall rating rather than its aim rating is probably closer to the system valve uses, and that score doesn't always line up with the leaderboard, as it should.

Not just the content creators in Valorant that is cringe but like the majority of the player base is already too cringe.
I feel like csgo you have this crazy personalities like Loba, Pasha, Olofmeister, f0rest, Fallen, Taz, s1mple, boomich, karrygan. Sort of feel like that weird class in your school that sort of failed but everybody still wanted to be in. Somehow csgo players seem less "nerdy" even though they make a living out of gaming.
Valorant players on the other hand feels like those rich kids that wore designer clothes just because everybody else had it. That tried to be cool but still always was too scared of what everybody else thinked to really stand out.
You just need to compare what makes a CSGO personality and what makes a Valorant personality famous. A lot of those pros were great people and understood the game at a level that went beyond aim. In Valorant they simply embrace the Drama aspect of the internet and it's all about highlights. It has gone to the point that famous Valorant content creators create rooms with fans just to hit clips they can use later

i think a lot of people are missing the key here. the difference between csgo and valorant is the age of the playerbases. while there is obviously a lot of overlap, valorant players are definitely much younger in general than csgo players. this means that the active valorant community is less mature and more toxic than csgo.
in my experience playing both, matchmaking is not noticeably more or less toxic, but i think in the case of the community, the pros, the influencers, etc, it definitely shows.

nah, even when I was playing CSGO back in 2015 when the cs playerbase was younger, it was much better than valorant now. Doesn't matter what the avg age is, valorant simply attracts losers who need to imitate instead of being their own person. Not to say that CS didn't have a ton of immature people back then, but at least they had their own personalities. Obviously this doesn't mean everyone who plays valorant is like that, but the overwhelming majority. Probably just a generational thing and I'm hating on the people
