It always cracks me up how loud he is - kyo is a fuckin tiny dude but he's got alex terrible sized lungs. Dir is some of the craziest shit I've ever seen
@@seananderson6422 I saw them in Boston for on their Uroboros tour. Weaved through the crowd and made it 4th row right in front of Kyo, caught Die’s guitar pick. Much better as a headliner!
Dir en grey is about as brutal as you can get without breaking a law. The music, the lyrics, the presence and the gravity of the material. Just a special one. And it’s wrapped inside a beauty that’s almost confusing to an outsider. To the people that know they’re a one and done. There will never be another!
@@ptbempire I’ve been listening to them since I was 14 haha so I’ve seen many eras and albums. Around 2001 is when I got into their music. They’ve always been evolving but never not being super creative and powerful. From Cage to Myaku to Mr. Newsman to The Final. And everything in between they’re worth going album by album through
Always a joy to see fun reactions! Dir en grey started out in the Visual Kei-scene. You can primarily hear that on the Missa/Gauze/Macabre albums. After that they decided to take a risk and throw all that out of the window to pursue a heavier sound. They've always had some heavier and/or chaotic songs (Zan, Byo「」Shin and Rasetsukoku to name a few), so I bet some people could've seen it coming. I think the Kisou album is more of a experimental album where they are still looking for a heavier sound, but with Vulgar and onward it's pretty clear what they were looking for. Glad they revisit their old stuff once in a while too

I saw them live yesterday and 2 days ago, first time after 13 years, and they got even better with time! Mindblowing that they're almost 50
50 and has been playing the band in the same member for 25years which is also impressive
I went to family values 06 specifically for this band. The memories!
Lucky butt. I missed it. I remember they said they cancelled the event because of a stabbing. Still bummed about it.
@@musicdeaf to be fair, that’s a pretty Metal reason to cancel a gig lol
Saw that show in phx az. They are fucking amazing live. Also saw them in 2008. So much better with them headlining!

I was at their first live outside Asia in Berlin in 2005. Yep, I'm old. They're still the greatest. 🥹
Mec on vient de le voir au Bataclan, et à 48 ans Kyo envoie toujours du lourd!!!
Their song World of mercy is insane live.
On stage kyo is an intense front man but off stage he's kind of a goofy shut in.
7 octave vocal range, not counting everything else
Idk why this is always called mc. Thats a totally dofferemt song, this is dageshisa to...
