- It's BACK - Cheap vs Expensive, but this time..... in 4k !!
I'm going to be leveling up content going forward with brand new visual buffs to give you a far greater viewing experience. I hope you like it.
Today, we look at SHARPIE Markers vs. GRAPHIT B - Two really cool markers, with two VERY different styles. Which is Worth it..?

Hi! For the next marker video I just found out about these markers called Olo markers. They’re modular and have a really nice inkflow. I thought it would be cool to see you make a video with them pitted against another marker.

I like the blue ssj4 fur, it's like his "kid" form gt clothes.
The Graphit B pens clearly have the overall better finish based on that drawing. However, the vibrancy on those Sharpies worked really well and suited that pic and did make the page POP that little more.

I like sharpies for specific type of art like doing Mandala art or like when I am painting a building and want a graffiti look on it. I agree there's so many better markers for the same price that are also easy for beginners to use. The video looks great and I hope you have a great week off!

I have more Sharpies in my collection then any other supplies. They are one of my favorites to use personally. I do enjoy their skin tone set. The smell not so much.
As someone who could never afford the expensive ones… i think it’s more worth it to learn how to use the sharpies so you can create art out of almost anything.

Alcohol Markers have improved my art. I used to use colored pencils but now I use both. I hated used sharpie cuz of the smell did use them for posters and projects in school but not for art. I started in art school with prismacolor 24 pack (additional a blender and some greys). I also had a pack of 24 masters touch which was an off brand to copic. now I have ohuhu 120pack and I don't use any of the others. I actually got my markers because of your comparison videos like this one.
Tip: you can add rubbing alcohol to the core of a sharpie and it will work again.

Markers wise, idk if Shapies speak to me, where as Graph'it B, but overall they both work for however you want to color and what your style is

Great vid as always and for paper art I don’t disagree with you at all but to be fair to sharpie they have there place, they are permanent markers and as such can be used on different mediums like canvas.
Honestly I love what you can do with sharpies just wish they were a little more cheaper

Quick question, what brand of fineliners do you use? my biggest problem with alcohol markers is that every fineliner brand I've used with them always smears.Especially when I do the skin tone. Sorry if I'm like the 1 millionth person to ask this lol
Could be interested of revisiting water based markers and try ur best to make epic art with first only them and them combineing them with anything (water based) to create epic art (just for the fun of it) also maybe test with paper made for it and paper that flakes and ruina ur art instantly, just for the storyline and also, because we've all been there....
And as a part 2: make the same artpiece with alcohol markers, waterbased and paint markers. Or devide the one piece to 4 corners having the 4th as a mixxed medium using all of markers best sides! Would be a fun to watch. Kinda like ur quash (no clue how to write "peiteväri" anymore) art you did while back. Was so much fun watching you discover joy while creating.
The expensive marker tends to be a no brainer winner but i love what you did with the Sharpies! These colors are almost burning through the paper!
What made you choose those colors for Goku?

Sharpies are kinda 50/50 in quality...colour never matches the cap -_-" in my experiense

I actually really love sharpies, unfortunately they give me severe migraines. So won’t be using them lol
I like the sharpie color, the brightness and vibrant color is better but I do enjoy the blendablity to the graphic B

at the end it depend of your use, if you draw as a passion and you "respect" the marker, of course take the most expensive one, but if it's just for fun on a rainy day and after you don't use them for month, take the sheaper one.
5:37 Careful with those fumes, they are able to make people high so ventilation is KEY
I've never considered a sharpie to be for 'coloring', but man, do I use them all the time for outlining, both the fine and ultra fine. Usually for mixed media, where I also have acrylic or watercolor going on.
I’ll tell you a fact adc most markers we all use on a basis are alcoholic but usually it’s chilldren markers do not

The results were actually impressive, the pants on the sharpie's side is absolutely WAY better than on the graph'ß. I don't think the answer is that clear... If you're not a professional, if it's for kids or someone just trying out, then I don't think the $300 set is worth more than the $30. If you were comparing with Ohuhu, then yes.

I remember trying some markers some time ago. They weren’t Sharpie, but they were like Sharpie. You couldn’t modulate them very well, or blend much, or coax much subtlety out of them. I hated them, and ignored markers for a long, long time. Until I wandered by the Copic booth at a convention and tried their markers. Wow. Then I saw the price. Wow. But you can get some really good markers for not that much more per marker than the Sharpies (and did find the Copics for $2-3 per marker, eventually), and you can grow a lot further with quality tools.

I always feei a bit wary when comparison videos start pulling in sharpies and non-alcohol markers to compare to alcohol markers 😅
I feel like you gave them a good shot here though, even mentioning in passing that they're permanent markers 😊

i thought sharpies had xylene in them like other permanent markers? its why they smell so bad. ia m interested in a video pitting two xylene markers against each other but im worried you would die lmao you def would need to be outside or something.

I love using sharpies for cell shading but after a while the nib gets soft and it makes accuracy more difficult

Thanks for doing this video. I bought a bunch of colored sharpies a little while ago and I have absolutely no idea how to use them to the best effect.
I'm just going to say that, as far as I know, Sharpies are not made for making art, but rather basic things like writing or doodling.
With that in mind, it was obvious that they wouldn't stand a chance against specialized drawing markers.
U kinda know that the first one is bad when one of the featured matkers are already out of ink.
I feel the second one also looked much easier and varied and i have used it before and really liked it

Unless youre literally watching a lower quality video side by side, it makes little to no difference.

@@ADCArtAttackyou asked for opinions and I gave mine. I'm Sorry. Something to keep in mind is that most phones will adjust the video quality based on certain factors such as the screen resolution of the phone or how good of a data connection someone has. For example when I first started this video I didn't have a very good connection I have a relatively new phone but it was still playing at 480p. I can go into my settings and readjust to play on higher quality but it still only went up to 720p. Again I can go back in and manually select advanced and then go to 4K. At that point sure there's a difference but Now we're talking about buffering in constant loading because it didn't want to play 4K to begin with and so now it's just struggling to play 4K. I have an Android device so I guess I'm only speaking for Android devices but at this point in time I just don't think 4K is worth it. 🤷♀️
But that's just my opinion, I apologize again if that's different from yours or if my opinion is not what you were looking for....

I remember a time back at my middle school where Sharpies where the coolest thing ever, I would have actually been really excited to get that set! But man, you definitely want to have a window open and take frequent breaks when using them, I'm pretty sure I've destroyed more than a few brain cells during an art session. 😆
