1:09 yeah she is 25. For filming this prequel from what I looked up they used makeup, forced perspective, and a body double (who the latter also plays a young Esther in this film). For anyone wondering what forced perspective it is "a visual effects technique that makes things appear to be farther away or closer than they actually are." a great example of this technique being used is in the movie Elf for scenes set at the North pole.
I’m pumped for this movie! It’s supposed to the prequel from the first so we already know what happened to this family if we all saw the first. I’m pretty sure the trailer had bad blur but I don’t think we should underestimate this movie!
It’s supposed to be a prequel, not a sequel. Her character was supposed to be 9 in the first one, and in this one, she’s supposed to be younger, cuz prequel
@@GorTheMovieGod what up Gorr The Movie God. I can't believe that it has been 13 years since the first Orphan movie came out. I am pumped for this movie. It looks darker and weird.
Umm… did y’all even watch the original movie? Because if you did, you would know she’s 33 years old, and not 9, so her being older playing the role is still warranted. She’s supposed to just be the size of a child.
@@turr5828 ummm…in the first movie, she looks like a child, like she’s supposed to, which makes the twist that she’s a 33 yr old with dwarfism, more effective. In this one, which is supposed to be BEFORE the first one, she looks like a full grown adult, even though this is supposed to be taking place before the original, where she looked believably younger LIKE SHE WAS SUPPOSED TO! Also, in this one, she’s taller than she was in the 2009 one, where, as stated previously, she’s supposed to be younger! Did she somehow lose height too? Does she look younger the older she gets? Or was this just a bad gamble from the addle brained director who wanted to cut corners and not pay for the necessary CGI to clear all this up? And yes, I’ve obviously seen the 2009 film, multiple times, and loved it, which is why this `prequel’ is laughable and preposterous by its very existence…you’re deluded and just the kind of sucker Hollywood loves to dupe because they know they can get away with it, with ppl like you!
I can't wait and I'm so glad it's the original actress because she played the part so good in the original and as for the age aspect I think they did a really good job and they used no cgi or special effects. It doesn't look cheap to me at all, I mean it's only the trailer not the actual movie so relax. I'm gonna judge after I see it but for now it's looks hella good and I'm glad they brought Isabelle back! She's gonna kill it! ❤
yeah this is from the director of "the devil inside" and "the boy" movies so like... yikes. that being said i don't mind her looking older here, like if they give the excuse of her never having done this before and the makeup isn't as good? idk this is probably gonna suck but still
ITS BEEN 13 YEARS SINCE THE FIRST MOVIE CAME OUT AND IM EXCITED FOR THIS PREQUEL.
I loved the first movie!
And I just saw Isabella in Cell!
Color me intrigued...

That makes total sense. Weird that they just didn't cast someone new. I'm sure no one would care that much honestly.
OMG!!!! She is back!!! Esther is back!!!!!!!

I agree with you it looks like a made for tv movie
13 years later . . . Cant wait! 💜
Dang that's carzy whoa man what's going to happened in the second movie whoa man

Yeah. I got that from the "First Kill" subtitle lol. It's 13 years later and the actress is still playing 9 so it's weird.

@@GorTheMovieGod they just actually confirm on de aging her to look like that.

God the og movie absolutely scared me I was legit scared of my younger brother for a while after it lol I hope this one lives up
Orphan is super underrated
They used CGI to make her young again

at the beginning the movie wasn't slated to be with Paramount, later Paramount picked it up
it'll be in select theaters and on Paramount+. and it's not a sequel it's called a prequel
She looks way to old to be playing a 9 years old. She was 10 or 11 in the first but she is 25 now nope
It's a yes 😛😉
