Old Moped Restoration

We did a budget oriented restoration of old moped/scooterette from the seventies.
Jawa 50cc type 207, familiarly known as "Babetta", made in former Czechoslovakia.

I bought a yellow 207 in the spring. The tank needed cleaning but it starts and runs very well! The tires say 'made in Checoslovakia' on them!😂

Nice, but you really shouldn't paint the inside of a gas tank, especially if it's stil corroded inside. What you should do is to fill it with rocks and gasoline and shake it until the inside is shiny and there are no more rust whatsoever (takes a few hours)

Je super akurat znizit otacky volnobehu aby koleso zadne pri volnobehu stálo. Mam 207 /356 tzv.turbičko ( da sa spoznat podla trojuholnika na vrchu valca)z valcom z 210 original prechodovy model a je fakt super. Karburátor ma priemer hrdla uz 12 mm miesto 9mm tak ako 210. Vozenie na 207 je podobne hlavne koli zvukovej kulise prevodovky ozubenia ako na starych autach z 30tych rokov. Mne osobne sa paci jazda na 207 viac ako na 210. 215 ku ktoru mam je tiiez jednorychlostna a vyhidou je spoľahlivosť pretoze nema ziadne blbe spojky sni prevodovku akk 210. Fakt jednoduchy motor. A rychlost 55 km.

Ahoj no pohral si sa stým pekne, čo je velka škoda že si to striekal sprejom keď máš striekaciu pištoľ.Mohol si si dať namiešať poriadnu farbu keď si sa stým tak vymazlil tie farby v spreji ked niesu ošetrené vrchným lakom sa olupujú a kvapne ti benzín niekam a utrieš ju až na ten plnič.Prepáč mi a neber to v zlom len ako radu lebo vymaznal si sa stým ozaj poctivo,a ďalšia vec veľa náhradných dielov sa stále dá kúpiť a hlavne tie pochromovane,čo si možno aj našiel ale ak si chcel zachovať uplnu originalitu tak je to v poriadku.Šikovným rukám zdar a tebe nech máš z nej radosť ahoj

So eine Jawa hatte ich auch schon mal...vor Urzeiten.War meine erste vernünftige Mofa,gab's bei Quelle im Katalog,so Anfang der 80ziger,lief ganz gut.Hab ich mir natürlich nicht selbst leisten können,war n großzügiges Geburtstagsgeschenk,nachdem mein allererstes Mofa,nachts vom Schrottplatz geklaut-ne Peugeot 101 noch mit Felgenbremsen-den Geist aufgegeben hatte

The one thing you did that I wouldn't have is put that sealer in the tank. I have seen a lot of tanks ruined by that stuff, no matter what brand or formulation it is. It will always start to peel, a little bit at the time, and plug up the petcock, fuel filter, and carburetor. And once you put it in, there is no way to get it all out. Overall that is a very crude moped. I mean, straight slotted screws to hold the float bowl on? I understand many of these had failure prone electronic ignitions. You sure made it look and run nice.

You didn't put any grease on the shock's springs,also its a good idea to put grease on all skrews,bolts axles,anywhere where is bare metal,center stand etc.

La peor restauración que se puede hacer en pintura es con aerosol muy mala calidad y se mancha y su deterioro es inmediato muy mal trabajo en lo mecánico muy bueno 😏
