Thanks for this "life saving" video - I was testing this one and did not know about the matching process but after seeing your video I got it to work!! Thanks again :-)

Zeke, I did find that if you go to the Feiyu Tech RUclips channel, you will find some useful videos including one on Modes which does show how to do the pairing. One other thing I find strange is that when I push the Power button on the pan-tilt unit, it immediately drives all the way down to the forward tilt limit. I suppose that it wants to move to a stable non-power position before removing power.

James Norman I noticed that as well. It scared me at first because I didn’t want the lens to hit. I’m glad you found the video useful. I will be making another in about a month.

Hey Zeke, thank you for your videos on the Feiyu Qing! Looks like an interesting piece of gear: how good is it for video shooting? I am particularly interested in automated motions you can easily reproduce time after time... is there an easy way to do so with that system? Thanks again (from London)!

Also can you have to module rotating back and forth at a specific speed to emulate some kind of motorised slider for interviews?

I’m still learning the settings. I haven’t found a function for A points and B points for interviews. I’m sure they will add this via firmware. More to come on this awesome gimbal.

Zeke's View thank you for your response. It looks like a great little device for content creator... as long as the video features allow for repeatability and essential slider-like features IMHO. Very much looking forward to your future videos on the Qing!

Great initial review. Thank you. I was hoping Feiyutech would make the remote handle a gyro wireless motion controller for mimic type performance too, rather than simply wheeled pan and tilt control. None the less, it is a great piece of kit. Hoping to test it soon on our range of 20ft 30ft and 40ft tall carbon fibre mast tripods! There is not another price vs feature matched wireless remote control pan tilt head option on the market. Hope Feiyutech slow that slow setting further though for remote camera work zoomed in, or it may not be manageable for steady pans and tilts under zoom. Video work mostly for us.

Thanks for the comment. I agree. A mmimic remote would be cool.

Thanks Zeke. You saved my bacon!!! I ordered this item from B&H. It came in today and I needed it to video a performance on Saturday. I installed the camera and did the balance thing, but the remote would not communicate with the pan-tilt assembly. I read the instruction manual which I downloaded from the website after doing a web search. The basic website does not even list the Qing. It is poorly written and does not discuss how to initially pair the remote with the assembly and many other functions. In spite of stating that they have tutorials on their website, there is nothing there that I could find. Fortunately, you showed how to pair the units and after a few minutes of it searching, it finally paired up. I made it a point to turn off bluetooth on my iphone and ipad as they can sometimes interfere with pairing. I hope that you do follow up with more info on the menu structure. The unit does appear to work okay even with a 7-pound camcorder mounted on it which is near it rated load.
Thanks again for saving my day. PS. I emailed their tech support and received a canned reply stating that they would return to work on Feb 10 due to the coronavirus extending the Chinese new year.

does feiyu have a plan for app control like edelkrone to repeat motions?

Just bought it and trying to figure it out. There is a difference in matching the remote to the unit. No mini but a macro usb fitting. Not sure I needed it. It seemed to mate without wires! Okay. Still no instructions. Still trying to use it, some fun....
