    Hello everyone,
    It just so happens, that Touching Cloud have also very recently added similar (wingman) functionality to their “Airshow Assistant” tool. Airshow Assistant is not only cheaper but, (I believe) also available on the Xbox. I may carry out a similar flight and compare the functionality of AA in a later video. Either way, just be aware that the other option exists : )
    Cheers!

      Far as I can tell, Airshow assistant appears to be free from Touching Clouds website. For PC only of course. I've had FCR since your Phantom video, but Airshow Assistant seems easier to use for the wingman feature. May have to try it!

      @TopAirspace 6 месяцев назад +1

      The wingmen in Airshow assistant are a huge step in the right direction, currently they aren't perfect, but it is extremely promising and has great potential.

    Please! Take care of jet exhusts and wingtip vortices! Remember, jets are very sensible to combustion exhaust gases to be ingested and wingtip vortices djsturbed air can twist the best of aircraft in mid-air. And even though none of these two features are simulated in MSFS, that doesn't mean they don't exist in real life! Specially in tight formation flights.

      100% agree, NTF! I’m hoping Just Flight will start to flesh out this niche, as they have previously done a Lightning, Canberra, Nimrod etc (and of course, recently released their superb Vulcan). FlyingIron are currently working on a more detailed Hunter (which is likely to be excellent). I’ll take most aircraft from this era, especially if they’re British haha!
      Cheers, all the best : )

    I love this aircraft well done to Dave. I like it almost as much as the payware Hawk. Sadly I have never been able to get FLight Replay to work despite some remote investigation by its developer - but he seems to have given up on trying to help me.

      I’m glad you’ve been enjoying the Hunter, Richard. Sorry to hear about FCR - not ideal. Have you come across / given “Airshow Assistant” a go? It’s completely free on PC and offers some excellent / similar functionality (I’ve just covered the addon in my most recent video).

      Indeed, Dennis; who couldn’t love the Hunter (and most British aircraft from this era) haha!
      If it’s not too late, perhaps check out “Airshow Assistant” also. The program offers similar (arguably better) functionality to Flight Control Replay but, is completely free (on PC)!

    Wish there was more relative movement between the two aircraft to make it more realistic. With the wingman exactly matching pitch and roll movements of the primary aircraft it just seems really fake but still a fun mod.

    • @IntotheBlueSimulations
      @IntotheBlueSimulations  6 месяцев назад

      Hi Craig,
      There is a little bit of relative movement, which hopefully you can make out from the internal shots. I had to use a different method to record the external shots (still using FCR), hence the 1:1 movement. “Airshow Assistant” is another tool that has just released ; it offers similar functionality, is free and the behaviour of the wingman / wingmen is a little bit more realistic (I’ve just featured the addon in my most recent video).
      Cheers and all the best! : )

    Dave did a great job on this. I fly ir regularly in the RSAF texture as I used to watch the real things training at RSAF Tengah in the 70's.. I just wish we had a decent Tengah to fly from. I was there not too long ago and lets say the security there has been stepped up dramatically.

    the pipper still seems mighty odd.. head-up displays are not MSFS strong side.

    • @Pete_Bucks
      @Pete_Bucks 6 месяцев назад

      The gunsight is actually showing what it should with guns selected and the pips show the radar ranging zone at whatever range in yards has been selected. Head up displays came a long time after the Hunter first flew - this display is pure gunsight tech. I only know as I am an ex-RAF Hunter groundcrew myself.
      Of note, if this Sim version had all the options, the display changes to graticule lines for rocket firing or also bomb release aiming.

    • @IntotheBlueSimulations
      @IntotheBlueSimulations  6 месяцев назад +1

      True MZ; such animations are not a strong point of MSFS. That being said, things are much improved as compared with how they were when the sim launched and I can certainly forgive such details on a freeware aircraft ; )

      I have no doubt you’re correct but, interestingly, the checklist I was using did specifically state “VHF”. I have no idea where the checklist originally came from though - whether it’s entirely fictional, or perhaps based on a retrofitted Hunter.
