  • The sixth edition APA style guide gives us guidelines for how to format figures and tables. We are going to learn how tables and figures are to be labeled and titled for publication or for class papers. They are different from each other. The horizontal lines on a table are called rules, and of course, there are some rules about rules.
This video teaches the following concepts and techniques:
    APA style for reporting figures
    APA style for reporting tables
    Formatting for tables and figures

how can i label a figure part of the same sub problem?

I'm not clear on what you are asking. Typically we label each figure separately, so if you have multiple figures ("sub-problems") you would create a title for each. Hope that helps.

an image of a scanned table, which contains only textual content is a table or figure?

I would lean toward it being a table, assuming that it was scanned to log like a table and the info in it are readable. I can imagine using an example table as a figure, but that would be very rare.

Correct...I don't think I have an APA 7 on this one, although I address it in some specific videos, such as ANOVA.
