Thank you for your heartfelt reaction to this beautiful song. Couldn't be more appropriate as we all send the very best of wishes to "the best backup singer". Get well soon Floor.
You want to talk about love and respect within a band, the song is definitely Marco's,, so Floor starts her backup vocal support while sitting on the drum stand. She finally stands when her harmonies become more important. We don't have to wonder why Nightwish affects us emotionally, they are pure love and everything they do is generated from that love. As a composer, Tuomas always strikes the heart, because he writes from his. Co-composer of this brilliant piece is, of course, Marco also is an amazingly strong emotional writer. Tuomas and Floor have both been described as empaths, and I fully believe they are. I also believe Marco is empathic, proof source: High Hopes; While Your Lips Are Still Red; Ava Maria w-Floor; and more than anything else ... the tears in your eyes while you watch. When you have an empathic composer creating for an empathic singer you get magic!! Thanks for another reaction, Jynger, where we leave with a lump in our throat.
@JyngerSlapz This is true. Marco co-wrote this with Tuomas for the Finnish film and I don't believe it was released on an album as Tuomas didn't want to put his name to what was perceived at the time as a movie soundtrack song not a full Nightwish band song. For a demonstration of theirvlive and respect for each other, watch the outro of the Hartwall Arena 2012 concert. I won't describe it because it might take away from the joy of watching it.
@@JyngerSlapz Much love, Jynger - the journey on this road with you is huge fun, because you make it so. There's sooo much more in front of you, and it will continue to amaze you and, in my opinion, make you better for the experience. I'm not going anywhere ... I'll be here!

"Kiss While Your Lips Are Still Red" an amazing text, speaks of many Tales. Thanks Jynger for reacting to this Marvelous Song. More Marco: High Hopes, covered by Nightwish from Pink Floyd, Or, The Voice Of My Father, is a song sang solo by Marco.
To put Marko's opening comments in context, this was in London not long after the Paris night club bombings. I think this song was added to the setlist here for that reason. Not an official Nightwish song, Tuomas wrote it for a Finnish movie and it was performed by him ,Marko and Jukka on drums. Floor's backing vocals and Troy's guitar with EBOW are additions to the original.
Nightwish always holds my attention, makes me think and realize what is important to me. Your site has become an important one to me. I have sub'ed and listen regularly, keep the great work. At 76 I have a great many things to look back on and live through again.
Note Troy is using an electronic bow (E-bow) on his guitar; an electronic device that sends high frequency vibrations through the strings like the bow on a violin, cello etc. Such a beautiful sound.
Love your heartfelt reaction to this song and please accept my condolences on the loss of your father. Nightwish has that way of communicating every and all emotions. To everyone, let those around you know how much you love them. 💜🥰

I know your feelings very well with this song. My dad past away last November, he also had dementia and Parkinsons. He sufferd a lot because of the Parkinson so in the end it was best for him that he passed away. Nightwish songs, as well as Floor's solo music helped me a lot and there is even one song that Floor wrote when she was still with After Forever that really hit me cause it could have been about my dad. She sang in during a solo show she did in Amsterdam, if you want to check it out. The show from 2021
Sorry for your loss my friend❤️ I hate to hear he suffered so much. Dementia is awful enough but Parkinson’s on top of that is just horrible. I’m glad he is at peace though and hope you have found some peace as well. Lots of love and hugs to you and your family.
It does make you think as do a lot of Nightwish songs, Makes me think about my Mom and just people I love in general. Sending big hugs from England Take care x
Sorry to hear of your loss JingerSlapz. I lost my father a few years ago as well. Never easy losing a parent you are close to. I don't mean to torture you, however since you brought it up I would suggest you check out a Nightwish song called "Our Decades In The Sun". Floor performs this one at one of her solo shows. "Tuomas has stated that this song was an ode to the band members' parents, and as such each member probably interprets it differently. For example, Floor has said this song is about being away from her parents when touring. I suspect each listener's interpretation of this song will vary accordingly, depending on each person’s relationship with their own parents. As befitting the subject, this song has very emotional lyrics. The verse/spoken word sections talk about appreciation for the narrator’s parents for “clearing the path” which I find very lovely. Isn’t that the ultimate goal of every parent, to clear the path so that when their child “climbs off their back” and walks their own path into adulthood, they do so with as few pitfalls as possible? The choruses are where the emotion hits really hard. Alternating between mother and father, and speaking of how they will always be close no matter what and with the child saying “I am you” and “you are forever in me”. As a father of two, those choruses really just hit me in the heart, and Floor sings them so very tenderly. ruclips.net/video/wtNti7fiimE/видео.html - Floor Jansen - Our Decades In The Sun (Live)

Giiiirl! How did I missed this one! While Your Lips Are Still Red is an stunningly beautiful song with such a strong message behind it, like "Don't let a moment go by without telling your loved ones that you love them, don't hold grudges for too long, because one day they may not be there, or you yourself will not be here anymore and that precious opportunity will be lost."
Nightwish has/had a luxury with a number of songs which can be played without singers at all (instrumentals) or with 2 other singers (Marko and Troy), with minimum support from Floor or even without. And all that without losing on quality. Such is a genius songwriting from Tuomas.
Not sure if it's been recommended to you yet but Marko's Voice of my Father video will definitely hit home. He has a version in FInnish and another in English.
Great reaction video as always! I too lost my mother from dementia and a stroke at the start of Covid and I was the only one that could be in the room at the nursing home when she passed, we couldn't even do a proper service for her, this song means a lot to me and thank you for doing this.
Thank you my friend and I am sorry for your loss❤️❤️ that is rough to deal with and then adding all the restrictions to the mix just makes it so much worse. Big hugs to you!
I lost my father last year August the 20th lost my step father 3 weeks ago while I was on holiday and my mother was diagnosed with dementia at aged 60 was placed in a dementia care home even though we were told she'll only live for 6 years she's past that time still alive but is heavily drugged up and zombiefied she barley walks and doesn't recognize me nor can speak anymore. Dementia really sucks!. Sorry to hear about your loss and music can trigger emotions. Thank you for your reaction.
The way you speak about your Dad is very sweet and touching, Jynger. I have a daughter myself and you've seen my story under Sleeping Sun, so you know why this hits home. Thank you for sharing your story with us. Hugs to you from across the Atlantic.
Thank you, that means a lot❤ it's hard sometimes to talk about and the song hit me like a ton of bricks. Absolutely beautiful! Girl's and their fathers is a different kind of bond :) You are very welcome my friend!
Sorry for your loss! I just lost my grandpa the same way last year (dementia, nursing home during Covid, all of it). This song has reminded me of him ever since we spent our 2020 Christmas on Zoom with him and he'd forgotten how to talk.
Hi Jynger. Thank you so much for reacting to this beautiful song....I was joining you in tears ...again. I'm a rocker and metal head but Nightwish get me every time. I am so sorry to hear about your dad...and in the circumstances of Covid that would have been so hard. Your inner strength and love of your dad shines through. I lost my dad many years ago...but a song , a memory can be bring me to tears easily. Take care of yourself Jynger. Peace and love from Liverpool UK 👍✌️🤘❤️🤗☮️
Yep, what a beautiful song & also a beautiful reaction, sorry about the late comment, but we are about 8hrs ahead of you, anyhow thanks for sharing that news with us all, what with dementia & covid, thinking we all have been touched with family stories of both. Our thoughts & support are with you...
This song makes me cry...every single time!!! In 2010, I lost my dad due to a massive heart attack! He had 5 bypass surgery about 9 years earlier, and it just gave out one night. My sister now takes care of my 89 year old mom, who still misses my dad so much! They were a true love story! Huge hug to you....my friends just call me "The Big Guy" for some strange reason....since when is 6'6" and 320 pounds of ex-football player a big guy??? I played with guys bigger than me!!! If they want to call me by that name...it's okay...My heart is just as big! Love your reactions....always honest! If you want to hear a very nice song...check out the 1980's "Super Group" Asia's song...."The Smile Has Left You Eyes". Bring tissue!
I love Marco and hope he comes back to Nightwish someday! That being said, I highly recommend you react to "Voice of My Father" from his album "Pyre of the Black Heart"!

Sorry for your loss, same here. My dad passed last year, dementia, during COVID, etc. I was fortunate, however, to see him the day before he passed, gave me closure. He didn't recognize me and was a shell of what he was in years past, that was tough to get through. This song means more to me now than it did even a year ago.
Such a beautiful song. This song is what inspired me to learn piano so here I am on my cheap electric piano learning to play because of Nightwish and Tuomas! Great reaction as always! Thanks for taking the time to share with us.
Sorry to hear about your dad, Shit you had me in tears while you were telling us about it. I've heard this tune many times but that's the first time I actually realized what the lyrics were...hoping all will be alright and sending my thoughts your way. 🤘❤
I understand you very well, good songs bring tears sometimes, even if this song does not have the spirit of country music in my opinion. God bless your father and happy New year.
Such a beautiful song! When I think of Nightwish, in my mind I hear soaring female vocals, hard driving arrangements and beautiful symphonies. This song adds another side of them to my appreciation of their music. Your reaction was very heartfelt and genuine. Great music can shape our expectations of the future and bring back the principal moments of our past.
You are simply an amazing reactor - honest and no fuzz - and you don't hide whenever you gets hit by deep, beautiful and wonderful music. Great 👍 And this one is a perfect one to do today, while Floor are having her surgery. Perfect and thank you 👍 🤘 🤘 Greetings from Nightwish Army Denmark 🇩🇰

Did you watch the show beste zangers with floor,? And the docu please learn the setlist in 48 hours, then you see the journey of floor with nightwish, from the first phonecall till now
My father passed of dementia in January of 2020 right before everything was shut down. We were able to have a normal funeral, thankfully, but if he would have passed even a month later, that wouldn't have been the case. The only music I ever associated him with was Buddy Holly. He'd be driving his truck mumbling the lyrics to "Peggy Sue" or "That'll Be the Day" and I would be focusing on Buddy's guitar playing which was _way_ ahead of his time. Thanks for sharing your story. The loss never really goes away, but you learn to deal with it better as time goes on.
Always look forward to your reactions purely because you're so transparent and so obviously natural. You set me off a little when you spoke of your dear Dad - made me think of mine, who passed away 5 years ago (he had dementia too) - he was 90 and had enjoyed a good life - but I suffered for about 3 years after - takes a lot of time but I've learned to remember all our good times together. I and many others are all here standing with you - just so you know! Very much looking forward to your next video. Take good care of yourself 😃...David.
I'm sorry to hear about your father. These songs, even if you don't understand every word, they just somehow manage to get us emotionally and many times make us happy and sad at the same time.

Thank you my friend and I am so sorry for your losses ❤️❤️ sending hugs your way!
Again another great reaction ..thank you and a big virtual hug from me for the lost of your dad ..
Thank you very much my friend ❤️❤️
The way you speak about your Dad is very sweet and touching, Jynger. I have a daughter myself and you've seen my story under Sleeping Sun, so you know why this hits home. Thank you for sharing your story with us. Hugs to you from across the Atlantic.
Thank you, that means a lot❤ it's hard sometimes to talk about and the song hit me like a ton of bricks. Absolutely beautiful! Girl's and their fathers is a different kind of bond :) You are very welcome my friend!
They're Daddy's girls ❤
Sorry for your loss! I just lost my grandpa the same way last year (dementia, nursing home during Covid, all of it). This song has reminded me of him ever since we spent our 2020 Christmas on Zoom with him and he'd forgotten how to talk.
Thank you my friend❤️❤️ I am sorry for your loss and having to experience the same thing with your loved one. Hugs to you ❤️❤️
Sending you virtual hugs. Great reaction. Glad you enjoyed.
Thank you very much ❤ It is a beautiful song that I am happy I did the reaction to :)
Never apologize for your tears. They come from deep within.
Nightwish always bringing out our best tears, I know exactly how you feel about your loss. I love your reactions and hope you're ok, thank you!
Thank you very much my friend❤️❤️
Good music makes you listen, great music makes you feel.
So very true!
Thank you my friend and hugs to you for your loss❤❤ Take care!
@@JyngerSlapz Hi Jynger. Thank you so much for your lovely reply. Our dads are never far away! Take care, stay safe. Peace, love and hugs. ..Alan ❤️❤️
Yep, what a beautiful song & also a beautiful reaction, sorry about the late comment, but we are about 8hrs ahead of you,
anyhow thanks for sharing that news with us all, what with dementia & covid, thinking we all have been touched with family
stories of both. Our thoughts & support are with you...
Thank you my friend ❤️❤️
Thank you my friend
Songs are supposed to make us feel, and so many of Tuomas’s compositions do. Love and positive thoughts to you, and to Floor today.
Thank you my friend and yes all the positive thoughts, prayers, and love to Floor today❤️❤️
Thanks ❤
Marco can sing his ass off too. & Troy. It’s easy to get forgotten with Floor being such an astounding talent. 🤷🏼♂️
Hi Jynger, greetings from UK
Another great reaction, thank you
MASSIVE BIG HUG!
I hope that made things a little better 😊
Thank you so much my friend❤️ that means a lot!
thank you so much for your Nightwish comments greetings from the Netherlands
You are so very welcome my friend and thank you so much for your support!! ❤❤
I love Marco and hope he comes back to Nightwish someday! That being said, I highly recommend you react to "Voice of My Father" from his album "Pyre of the Black Heart"!
Thank you for sharing your story about your father with us!
Everytime someone shares something, it brings the listener closer. So now we feel closer to you and send our love and support to you!
Much love to you and Ukraine
🌻🌻🌻💙💛💙
Thank you very much my friend❤️❤️ this means a lot to me!
Love watching your Nightwish journey! You are a beautiful angel.
Thank you and I am sorry for your loss as well❤️❤️ hugs to you
Thank you, Jynger ❤
Thank you ❤️❤️
🤩👌💥💯
Neat reaction mi lady. Keep on rockin with this magical band...
🤘😎🇫🇮💙
Thank you❤️
How lucky is Marco to have Floor Jansen doing backing vocals on his songs!~
Such a beautiful song. This song is what inspired me to learn piano so here I am on my cheap electric piano learning to play because of Nightwish and Tuomas!
Great reaction as always! Thanks for taking the time to share with us.
That’s awesome my friend! Nightwish definitely has a way to inspire all of us😊 glad you enjoyed the video, thank you❤️❤️
Sorry to hear about your dad, Shit you had me in tears while you were telling us about it. I've heard this tune many times but that's the first time I actually realized what the lyrics were...hoping all will be alright and sending my thoughts your way. 🤘❤
Thank you very much my friend! That means a lot to me❤❤
You should react to "The voice of my father" from Marko. The song is done by Marko with his own band. It s about his father who passed away.
Thanks for your reaction ❤️
🖤 Thank you.
You are welcome my friend❤ Hope you are well
I understand you very well, good songs bring tears sometimes, even if this song does not have the spirit of country music in my opinion.
God bless your father and happy New year.
the song just fits perfect right now... all the best and a fully recovering (f* cancer)
I concur ♥️🌹to Floor .
You are absolutely correct my friend. ❤️❤️ thank you
You are simply an amazing reactor - honest and no fuzz - and you don't hide whenever you gets hit by deep, beautiful and wonderful music.
Great 👍
And this one is a perfect one to do today, while Floor are having her surgery.
Perfect and thank you 👍 🤘 🤘
Greetings from Nightwish Army Denmark 🇩🇰
Thank you very much❤️❤️😊
Take a look at Marco's original band, Tarot -
This is the same song (Wings of Darkness) early on and then later on:

Maybe do a double feature reaction and see how much Marco grew as a singer over time.
Listening to your story I am sure it is hard. I am going through dimentia with my mom right now. It is one of the hardest things to watch! I understand your feelings! Know there is support for you if needed! His knows I could use it also! Tears around 😢. Be safe!
Thank you my friend❤ My heart goes out to you and your mother. Sending big hugs your way!! Take care of yourself
@@JyngerSlapz thank you! It’s definitely not easy! To know some one else has been through it makes me feel a bit better but still is hard to see. Your amazing Jynger! I love being able to know you through this! You have a big fan!
@@larryoakley1659 ☺️ you’re welcome! You are not alone my friend and I hope that helps a bit❤️ thank you for the kind words and for your support! You guys are absolutely amazing ❤️❤️❤️

Thank you for this reaction Jynger ! It’s a beautiful song but I can’t wait for Shudder Before The Beautiful for some more upbeat awesomeness!! I will also request Sahara live in Tampa Floorida at a smaller venue , keep em coming !! 🤘🏼💥🤘🏼
sorry to hear about the loss of your father.. then i should say listen to "the voice of my father"also sung by Marko..only with a other band.. beware!! tears will come. greets from the NW Army in the netherlands.
Thank you my friend ❤️❤️
Emotional smile today..Beautiful. All my love goes to Floor today.❤️❤️❤️ Warm hugs to you.❤️
Thank you my friend❤️ and yes she needs all the love and support today❤️❤️
Have no fear, being/feeling vulnerable in front of the Nightwish Army is acceptable.
Keep smiling!
Thank you❤️
You should also try MARKO HIETALA - The Voice Of My Father, this one of his solo Projects
Hi Jynger, thanks for your genuine and emotional reaction. I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. I feel you completely girl. I lost my mum 2 years ago during covid restrictions. She was also suffering from dementia, she had Alzheimer. Could not visit her for months and just after it was possible again to visit, she passed away. Thinking of her and Floor now...we have played Floor's song " strong" during her funeral. Thanks again and take care🙏❤️
I’m so sorry for your loss my friend❤️❤️ hugs to you!
thank you for this,Jinger! now lets hope Floor recovers well!!
You’re welcome my friend and yes praying for Floor❤️❤️❤️
@@JyngerSlapz sorry to hear about your father, keep going strong Jinger!!
Next song should be High Hopes. It is one of Marko's best.
"Pet Martian" - have you seen the video where Marko wears "alien eye" sunglasses? "I Want To Believe"! 👽
I haven’t seen that one yet! Now I need to lol!
Okay, so now two other great Marko/Nightwish performances:
Master Passion Greed,, probably Nightwish's most violent song:

High Hopes from Pink Floyd cover:

Thank you for the reaction Jynger, most appreciated. And so sorry to hear of your Father and the situation around it. No-one should've been put through that. Have a great evening Tiger.
Thank you very much for the kind words my friend❤️❤️ that means a lot. You have a great evening as well🙂
How many people can say that Floor is their backing singer.
My respect for you keeps on Growing, you look like a badass, but you have such a big ❤
Thank you my friend❤️❤️
Hi, beautiful reaction, impossible to cry with Nightwish, I know your suffering, hold on hot😘
Thank you ❤️❤️
@@JyngerSlapz 🥰
Ginger, moving story you shared. There is however a third thing to remember about your father... You..you are his living legacy...
For floor this song will now also a have a new meaning.. Ah... the power of music.
I go and cry over my loved ones who are not here anymore....and kiss my wife when she comes home ..
Thank you my friend, that means a lot❤️❤️
❤ This was a very touching reaction. Stay strong. Let the time pass by. You could try do Nightwish Shoemaker live version next. I think that is the best Floor's vocal performance ever.
Thank you my friend❤️
"while bosom is still untouched" ... never saw that line in today's perspective...
I’m sorry for your loss❤️❤️ thank you for sharing that story with me. Hugs to you and thank you❤️
Always look forward to your reactions purely because you're so transparent and so obviously natural.
Thank you my friend that means a lot to me❤️ sorry for the loss of your father❤️❤️ thank you and you take care of yourself as well!
@@JyngerSlapz 👍🙏😊
I'm sorry to hear about your father. These songs, even if you don't understand every word, they just somehow manage to get us emotionally and many times make us happy and sad at the same time.
Thank you my friend❤ I agree 100%!
Nice reaction, thank You. This is not the only one, your reactions are great to watch. And you are right, everyone needs a good cry every now and then. And music of Nightwish brings emotions so many way...
Thank you my friend❤️❤️ that means a lot!
It's something that we often realize too late. Thank you for playing this beautiful song.
Anyone hear anything about Floor? I pray Eir brings her healing and comfort for her and her family.
I hope we hear something soon. All the love and prayers for Floor today❤️❤️
Thanks!
Thank you so much!❤
Marco is one awesome singer & musician.
I was so very sad when he left the band :(
Ha Ha !! I see by your pictures, that you have a love of Horror movies. Have you seen Art the Clown in action ?
All Hallows Eve & Terrifier 1 & 2 is brilliant as it is bloody :) \m/
Psst !! Im also a ghosthunter :) \m/
I agree! I love Art the Clown! The Terrifier movies were fantastic with all the gore. I haven’t watched All Hallows Eve yet. Ghost hunting, that’s awesome! That is on my list of things to do lol
@@JyngerSlapz 'All Hallows Eve', you can find on RUclips & it has Art the Clown coming in halfway though the movie. Its a trilogy of short stories & all are very good :)
Have fun :) \m/
Yes Ive had some amazing experiences in ghosthunting & its well worth a trip into the unknown :) \m/
For the ultimate Marco High Hopes from the Hartwall Arena 2005 concert is the goto IMO.
For Marco solo there is the song about his own father "The Voice of My Father " from his solo album Pyre of the Black Heart.
You could also seek out a live version of Taikatalvi with Marco singing solo (it's the opener in the Hamburg 2012 concert).
So sad that Marko left the band. And now almost 2yrs later they are going into hiatus for the for seeable future no touring but a new album
Jinger, sei Dolcissima. Jinger you are very sweet 🌹
Marco as lead singer here widely praised a cover of Pink Floyds "High hopes" ruclips.net/video/4oEDnVeYYyM/видео.html
