A CLASSIC CWL SERIES, REVISITED- THE PREMISE:
One of my first successful and popular series on RUclips was The Forbidden 🚫 Foods Experiment. So many resources tell us conflicting information on what can and cannot or should/should not be given to our worms.
My personal opinion is that if we make composting sound like it has too many rules, we are cutting down on likely “converts” to the hobby. I aim to show that in moderation (as with all things in life) it’s pretty hard to cause any harm, regardless of what you feed.

Hi Crazy Worm Lady!
I too spend many nights awake! And the past 18 hours I've been watching YOUR videos, as well as reading your blog! Can I tell you - I REALLY LIKE YOUR STYLE!!
And so I subscribed. Which I do not do lightly...
Anyway -
I just watched the video where you added the onions to the bin! I am on the edge of my seat!! WHAT HAPPENED?!! I'm betting they loved it - my hubby is betting they didn't like it! So now I need you to tell him he is wrong!!! 🤞
How Long did it take for them to demolish a whole, uncut onion!!
I am noticing you haven't made a vid in a while, is it possible you're having health issues? I really hope you are ok...
As someone who does have health issues, I completely understand. We can all wait until you are up to coming back, no worries! We'll all be here!! ♡♡♡
You just do what you need to do - FOR You.
Ciao Doll ♡
Fantastic result, really enjoying your videos. Thanx for posting xx.
Hope you get your fruitfly problem under control soon - I'd hate that indoors.
All my worm bins are outside and so far, the only infestation I got was ants who decided to make a kamikaze bridge over the small water pots under one
multi-level bin's legs and take up residence in the worm bin.
Easily fixed.
Thanks for the update Emily
Yes, the flies are a big nuisance but honestly they are mostly isolated to the 2 rooms I keep my bins in. I have vinegar traps everywhere and they aren't nearly as bad as they were a month ago.... so, baby steps... I will take the wins where I can get them.
Nice looking worm balls! 👍
Why thank you! Wait for the next few videos. I am delirious and it's hysterical.
The worms are definitely looking like they've rebounded. Awesome!
It's very satisfying to see!
Thanks for sharing! Love it! The wormies look happy and thriving! I hope you will get some more sleep, so you don’t feel groggy.
Thank you! I tried to sleep. Got about 4 hours before getting into work this evening. More sleep tomorrow... it's a must, I work all weekend.
Great video Emily.🐛🌱
Thanks AJ!!!!
Mine love tomatoes too! I tried to raise some roma tomatoes this year. They didn't do well so the worms got to eat them. They didn't care if they were wrinkled and tasteless. Lol
hello there! new subscriber here lucky to have seen your page. been trying my luck in composting and your videos have been such a great help aswell. hope everything is going great and i hope you have a great day. =)
that is one crazy worm orgy!
how are you doing? I haven´t seen any updates for a year and I worry.
Looks awesome ! Put my infested BSF worm bin outside in the Alabama heat about 2 weeks ago. Used a bait box I made to catch a whole bunch of larve. Got rid of them .Then started to just feed leaves/chickn mash .Things were looking good. So I put a banana peel in and boom .Now I have ants and BSF larve fighting it out .Worms dont seem to care I have cocoons showing up and the worms seem content on eating coco coir and leaves.
As long as the worms seem happy--- that's become my motto to myself lately. Emily, chill out. The flies may be annoying or the beetles may be creepy but they all live happily together in the bin. All is good with the world.I pep talk myself frequently, lol!
Wow those worms look incredibly healthy! They really rebounded really well!
Right? I am shocked. I think the tomatoes maybe gave them a darker color. They seemed so vibrant.
Can't wait for the outcome.
Me too! Any bets? Will the tea bags compost? Will there be any onion drama?
@@TheCrazyWormLady maybe the rebels will hang there 😂
Sheri U ohhhhh the suspense!
Did the worms survive the onions?
Wonderful update! Looking them like that makes me happy unlike mine. I need your suggestion on mine....as I immaturely added too much greens in my compost (before watching on your videos) my compost bin is full of maggots now. Do you think adding dry mulch and cardbaord will reset the situation?
Load up as much cardboard as possible to sop up extra moisture and put a healthy 4-6 inches of dry bedding across the entire surface to suffocate out the hatching flies. Starve the bin for 2-3 weeks... let the worms catch up and things will be great!
Thankew I will try that and update u but until where do I place the bins though, in the shade or sun dry?
@@Honor236 the sun will bake the worms. Put them in the shade.
@@michelleh7133 Thankew wil do that.
Nice big worm balls ! Great update !
Sorry for your lost sleep worms looking great
I never sleep at night to be honest, but I had to get up early and so I was pushing 24 hours of no sleep. Lol. Keep watching... the videos the next 3-4 days get worse and worse (or funnier and funnier-- depends how you look at it). Thanks for watching!
Thanks for sharing and have a great day!!
Thanks for watching!
It is Not to dry ?

can you eat the worms as a meat substitute?

Have you ever tried to feed expired cereal. Like cheerios or lucky charms?
Derek P I think people try cornmeal they love it ,sorry I answer your question
Tomato worm meat ball!!
Please wear a mask when you check on this bin next! Any time I put just a couple slices of onion in my bin it ends up sticking something vicious 😷🤢
You do remember I am a nurse, right? I have a high tolerance for smells!
@@TheCrazyWormLady I never thought of it that way. More power to you!
Robin 😂😂 the things I have seen and smelled...
