I think more than public, it was a professional set up where Alia Bhatt was his co-star and not just his wife. People don't pass such comments or speak like this to their spouses in a corporate set-up which requires professional boundaries.

Celebrity and superstars are really conscious about their body , physique .. particularly females are more .. and in that case a girl who is bearing ur child in such an early age (early in case of Indian celebrity) .. u ll shower her with such ballastic comment on a public platform where people are romanticising ur couple and waiting for their cute chemistry together .. dat is really shameful ..

And Hasan, Ranbir's comment was sexist. She is pregnant and Ranbir commenting on her body changing, calling her phalofied is not good, especially its in public. Phalofied generally is used to talk about weight or someone letting go of their body. It is not in a good taste.
    Amna is right in this.

Exactly. Even as a joke it’s just a horrible thing to say. I’m currently pregnant and my husbands jokes about my weight gain. Sometimes I’ll laugh it off but days when I’m already insecure, it’s really bothers me and I wish it wasn’t normal for husbands to ‘joke and tease’ wives like it is normal.

The house is beautiful. And though the contestants are not well known but after 4 episodes, I'm connecting with the contestants as well. In bigg boss the contestants are solely not controversial unknowns, there are also big names from the indian drama industry who have participated in different seasons like Amar upadhay who was Mihir Virani from kyuki saas bhi kabhi bahu thi, Shweta Tiwari who was Prerna from Kasauti Zindagi ki, even the recent season had Karan Kundra another known name in their tv industry. Which is why people are more drawn to watch their tv stars on a daily basis and that too unfiltered. But in Pakistan the drama and film industry stars are somewhat merged and hold too much of a star power to participate in this format.

the 2nd episode of tamasha probably got its views because Waseem Badami had made an appearance. the show could have been more interesting if Adnan Siddiqui didn't come after every 5 or 10 minutes. we can barely see the contestants play on their own. We can't really see many arguments or controversies just because Adnan becomes a kabab mein haddi and is constantly lecturing everyone and keeps a check on them 24/7. And the sponsoring is right on the face. Sometimes, it feels like Adnan has come just to sponsor

I thnk the main problem with Ranbir Kapoors comment is the casualness with which a man privileges himself to comment on a woman. This is also a problem if the genders were reversed, but a man in our world comes from a place of great privilge. The gravitas of such a comment(despite its casual tember) expresses a greater problem which needs attentive undertsnding and resolution.

    1) Sanam Saeed would've been the perfect Fatimah Jinnah on screen. Pakistani producers should stop casting only A-listers all the time to keep their ratings and views up. Sajal is lovely but by what angle does she look or even resemble Fatimah Jinnah? (I would love Sanam Saeed to do a Fatimah Jinnah-based project in the future since she has wanted to do it for the longest time.)
    2) Ranbir Kapoor has done this time and time again in his interviews with co-stars and specifically women. His girlfriends and now his wife have had to deal with a legit man-child who doesn't have any etiquette and manners to respect women. Ppl let men get away with bullshit like this so much it's disgusting. To sum up, recently actor Shefali Shah said in an interview "disrespect in a relationship can even start in a humourous way and eventually becomes toxic".

I agree with the comment on Sajal in the series. It’s a complete miscast unfortunately. They needed somebody with a longer and more mature face shape. Actresses like Sajal and Yumna and even Mahira have rounder faces which look too different. Samiya and Sundas look fit for the role. They simply didn’t need a third actress. If they really needed one they should’ve casted somebody that actually looks like her a little bit. Maybe Saba qamar or even Ayeza khan would look better simply because of their face shape and bone structure

Thankyou Amna. Ranbir was disgusting! Motherhood is something to be celebrated and not denigrated esp. by the dad. Part of a young girl's sacrifice when becoming a mom for the first time includes coming to terms with her bodily changes, not to mention the discomfort. The baby comes later, first you have to look at yourself in the mirror and learn to accept it. To have your husband body shaming instead of reassuring you at that time must be really hurtful. But be brave Aliya. Your baby will make up for it all.

It doesn't make any difference for what reason she has put on weight or whether she has put on ordinary or extraordinary number of pounds... plus, we should not forget that Aliya has gone through some very dramatic transformation for entering Bollywood, in her teen ages she was not fit.. as someone whose own weight fluctuates quite dramatically I can attest that she must have suffered from insecurities and that those insecurities never totally go away.. they might have resurfaced after hearing that comment... even if she believes that Ranbir totally loves her despite that...

Oh boy! Ranbir Kapoor’s getting all kind of backlash on Twitter and I’m ever so glad I’ve never been into him. Always found him underwhelming acting and looks wise.
Now, I’m not one who is privy to his relationship with Alia Bhatt or other co-stars but these disparaging comments about her weight are a form of micro-aggressions and can become very toxic. There are quite a few clips of him being less than courteous to his co-stars as well… nothing very overt, but he definitely gives off passive aggressive vibes.

On a serious note, it started out well and the aesthetics are amazing but Adnan is not able to deliver the responsibilities of a host. He tried to instigate Mahira Khan in one of the games but the whole scene looked so fake! He comes into the house every now and then trying to instigate stuff but his conversations dont make any sense and then he comes to resolve issues which arent even telecasted! And then the promotions every min are hideous!

The brands are so in your face. They showed an argument in yesterday's episode before they were just showing aftermaths which was boring so now ARY is paying heed. There's also a love angle in the show. Coming to Fatima Jinnah series they should've just casted one actress and if you notice there was a man with the actresses playing Fatima Jinnah in the prologue and he was there through out so why didn't they go for one actress?

Sajal especially had this look of misery and hopelessness, it may be because of the time period she is portraying. But for the public, back then and even now she is the symbol of strength and courage. Sajal doesn't emote that dilemma, where you're dying on the inside seeing the misery of your people but at the same time you hold your head high and push through.

Fatima Jinnah Ji - I think the series looks great! The production level is fantastic and I have great hopes for the series and would like to give the makers the chance to at least air 1 series of the 3 before we start bashing it. You've already decided from having seen only 15mins that nothing 'hooked' you. #Pata nahi aap log kiya chahte hain. I think that the makers overestimated the generosity of the viewer by releasing the prologue in this format. They should have done what The Crown did and kept secret who would be playing Fatima Ji past Sundus Ji. If The Crown had shown pictures of all the different actors playing the Queen, there might have been some critique of the casting there as well. None of the actors playing the Queen in The Crown look like each other!!! I mean how is that even possible??? And even if it was possible to find lookalikes for Fatima Ji, should we just use them regardless of acting ability??? Claire Foy, Olivia Coleman and Imelda Staunton look completely different and don't look much like the Queen at the ages that they are playing her. But you don't seem to have noticed this at all!!! I guess that is the Netflix effect! Agar Pakistan mein banna hota tou uss me bhi keera hi nikal te!
The fact is that the Pakistani industry is just too small for this debate. There are not nearly enough actors that could do the role, not enough make-up artists that can do convincing ageing that remains consistent enough to age the same actor to do all the periods of Fatima Ji's life. There is also a lack of experienced prosthetics artists to change a person's appearance. Bollywood can't even get that right it is so difficult and requires hours of extra time in makeup for actors which is also why Netflix used multiple actors in The Crown. I think you want to run before you can walk and have wildly unrealistic expectations. We need to support this work so that they can make better work in the future.

Have you seen kosem sultan and other magnificent century Turkish series?? No one actor looks like the actual portrait of the person they are playing, neither do the actresses playing the character of for eg Hurrem sultan or kosem sultan, compare in any way to the other actress playing the same character at a different age. By no stretch of imagination can you imagine them as an older or younger portrayal of the same character . Yet, they are chosen due to their phenomenon acting and how they cary themselves as that particular character, and bring out the best emotions required to be portrayed for each stage of life of every character. Therefore, I guess, it makes sense to have someone of the calibre of sajal Ali and samiya mumtaz to potray the turmoil of the 2nd and 3rd stage of Mohtarma Fatima Jiinnah's life. So I guess, they have taken up Turkish concept , IMO, I could be wrong. But it should work.

TAMASHA is a good addition to our showbiz. No matter, it is a copy of Big Boss in many ways, but Big Boss is also a copy of Big Brother. In many ways, it is different from Big Boss, no gender mixing in bedrooms, avoiding vulgarity. I am regularly watching its all episodes and recommend it too. Huge applause to ARY for this induction. House setup is great, voice/video quality is good, editing could be more improved. Mostly contestants are not familiar, but gradually we are connecting with them. Adnan Siddiqui's personality and his voice command is good addition, he was an ultimate choice here. Show will pick its followers in Millions, hopefully in second week, if TAMASHA management could improve some concerns:
    1. By avoiding regular publicity of show financers, already sign boards are there, which are enough.
    2. Adnan Siddiqui should let contestants play more freely, because his regular intervening is quite disturbing.
    3. All issues/fightings/contradiction should be actually telecasted, then public will connect with their solutions/judgements.
    4. Wild card eateries of some interesting celebrities, especially any famous cricketer, motivational speaker or any other interesting personality should be inducted to boast its moral.
    5. Interesting and some catchy/funny tasks should be introduced regularly to attract its contestants as well as its followers.

When big boss started it was different, gradually they made it controversial or if any big boss is getting bored they add few contestants (who can fight and create issues). This is the first season, people in our country are very sensitive and judgmental so i think tamasha will also make its place. As our society is accepting everything in dramas so they will start accepting in tamasha too.
