Those cables as you say, are for lights but the other one is for air. so without air to the trailer, no brakes and no air to suspension :)
There should actually be a third cable they have green which is lights red parking brake and blue service brakes

Love the truck. I liked the aurora borealis Myself personally but that was my 2nd option. Such a beautiful truck love all the customization it has and the real locations you can look at.

To answer about stopping the truck when you get out, the #1 rule I was taught at NETTTS (New England Tractor Trailer Training School) if you leave the truck the key leaves with you. Never leave the key in the truck

Customization is simply awesome
Leaving the engine running used to be a thing with the older diesel engines. There is also when you need to run the compressors to charge up the pressure in for the air braking system.
When’s he going to notice his head lights 😂 been a whole episode already now this one.

Trevor all trucks have cables for trailers
I drive about 1,500 km strength and last 200km highway. My left hand was in wheel and if i wanted to move it its dead! I needed to use my right hand to take off left hand on wheel. This was very scary feeling.
