The first sound on this is Paul playing a half-speed Mellotron flute sound from his memotron, followed by Hoshiko (of course) on violin. Thorsten was tuning his Modular systen oscillators during this part. He then added analog synth 'cries' from his Moog Minimoog Voyager and then eventually introduced looped-Mellotron strings from an App on his laptop (played from his controller keyboard)
Great stuff Richard. When I saw them last year, I read some of the reviews and there were a lot of haters. I understand it's not the classic lineup, but it's still great stuff. I will support their music to the end....unless they decide to add vocals. Then I'm done.
Can I confirm that the Sessions Box Set includes all different sessions to the individually released Sessions albums I, II, III etc? I am deciding whether to invest in it. Thanks.
I planned an upload of Laguna Hills 86 which is the same concert. I can't remember where it is. I may have deleted it but I know I did it because I still have the artwork I did for it. I do have Somnambulistic imagery too. I assume the Tangerine Tree recording has better sound, I don't know.
Contemporary TD is interesting experiment: second generation of musicians doing music under the same name. And they're not bad in doing it, they're just different. And it is good. If they only play "Stratosfear" for example and all other classical stuff like the Old TD, they would be just another tribute band, but they wanted more than tis and it's OK

Brilliant music 🎶 from Tangerine dream, always 😊😊😊
Very good work my friend.
Congratulations.
The beginning sounds a lot like Birth of Liquid Plejades, nice touch! Thanks for uploading this, RIchard.
Nice one, Richard!
Love Hoshiko. I really do. Was a brilliant move to add violin 🎻 2 TD.
Красота
I was there that night 😀
This Mellotron flute sounds like good old first half of 70s Tangerine :-)

Yes I think they are different, although I haven't listened to a lot of the later TD music.
🎉

The Tangerine Dream are died with Edgar Froese !!
Johannes Schmoelling in my opinion.
@@RichardW001 Surely the first trio Is the best of all times.
@@fabriziodagostini9081 I prefer the Johannes period but the Baumann era was great too.
