In most of the migrant interviews I've seen they usually claim they came for a better life ie. financial reasons, not actually asylum. Many are now claiming the U.S. is not what they expected. I have yet to hear a interviewer ask one of them, What did you expect would happen when you illegally entered the U.S. without money, a support system or a legal source of income?

They are getting support for free, while Americans are struggling (mind you, U.S citizens, lived here long before this situation) and this is making things harder (not just U.S citizen but the people looking for asylum.) When I was homeless as a Veteran 5 yrs ago in Chicago, I couldn't get food stamps, hotel room, a tent, soup, free clothes and shoes, medical care or anything. The government told me I had to pull myself up by the bootstraps.

For those that dont know. The US is like that rich kid you see in school, you envy them want what they have. Word gets out that the dad wants some help doing something and you're promised amazing pay, and you get to stay in the pool house for free. So the entire school goes all at once because they have no limits. Now not only do they not have work for you, but you have to sleep in the yard in a tent. That is the US right now with immigration.

Life is about choices. If you decide to have children without the means to take care of them It's no one else's fault or responsibility to take care of those kids. Period.

My grandfather came here in from Italy 1905 with 50 bucks in his pocket, lived in a basement room with dirt floors till he could afford better. There was absolutely no government handouts to make it easier. He earned the American dream and appreciated it.

And in as little as two years, he must have filed what's called "intent to become citizen" with a county clerk. That was it, and he was citizen. The KKK hung them as well. Many places didn't allow Italians to work for them. This is why many turned to crime. These people get free things and still committing crimes.
