- Anyone who has encountered dino’s has also probably thought about quitting the hobby. This multi-pronged approach worked for me.
I am by no means saying this is a cure-all for dinoflagellates…this is what worked for me. This is based on my parameters, tank size and time frame. Don’t get frustrated if it doesn’t do the trick..there are plenty of other things you can try.

DINOS!!!! They are my favorite childhood memory and worst fear as a reefer! The temp increase has helped me and friends in years passed as well. Also, that UV sterilizer is the BEEZ-KNEEZ!
LOL! My kids are going through the dinosaur phase right now. Learning all the scientific names of course...pachycephalosaurus is just fun to say.

Hey my Saturday midday hangout. Awesome! Small square footage wise but Chad has so much stuff for sure. Look at that, Matt laying down and Harrison doing the work, too funny. Love your local lfs tours, I am always so interested in seeing the local stores. YES on the frag swap, honestly I have never been to one and now with covid-19, I have avoided going to super crowded places. I don't know about where you are Remy, but here in Arizona, the fish hobbyist are the most careless or ignorant people. I go to lfs and they are not wearing masks, not social distancing so I have stopped going. Actually I go only to one because the owner is very strict about cdc guidelines because her son is immune compromised. I appreciate that and they don't have the best of stock, but I buy what I can to support a shop like that. Great content and look forward to the swap.

This is definitely good info. Also I would agree with you in the IM UV as I use the IM 10w AquaShiELD UV on my 25 lagoon and it’s a NEW tank and I definitely haven’t seen the ugly state at all and it’s almost two months in of the cycle and haven’t even seen the diatoms which should be there after week four. Great contest as always..

Show the meet and prep up to it for sure, I miss going to shows. The Expo that the Reef store I work at was cancelled due to everyone's favorite COVID19. It sucks because we had vendors from all over and local stores, and fans of the hobby getting together and having a good time.
Ugh, I'm hoping that doesn't happen as we get closer. We're ALL ready for some normalcy again.
Ordering the UV filter per your advice. I also have a Nuvo fusion 20. Currently the first chamber has a filter sock, second holds their DC protein skimmer, got a cobalt heater on the opposite end and media caddy in the last chamber. When install the UV filter where should it go and what do I do with the rest? Thanks in advance. So glad I discovered your channel through RNN. 🤙🏼

Yes do another frag swap series. Also i have a question. Im looking to frag some pulsing xenia soon and wondering how long they would be okay out of the tank during the fragging process? I guess im just asking how long on average would you say your corals are out of the tank during the fragging process. Even just transfering frags into my tank or moving tanks gives me anxiety about health lol.
It truly depends on the coral. Some types shouldn't be out of the water at all but MOST can be out for a couple minutes. Softies, should be ok for a bit while you cut and glue. You don't have to be a Nascar pit crew but the quicker you can get the specimen back into water, the better.

I would never touch vibrant ever again but i did beat dinos by just keeping phosphates at 0.10 and nitrates above 5ppm. Uv is a life saver too.
It's just so hard to regulate once it goes into the tank. UV has been a great addition.

Bahama Llama Coral I went with 6 clowns to start the tank off. (2 black/phantoms, 2 fancy whites and 2 regular/OG ocellaris) was about to pull the trigger on the pair of Mocha storms in the candy shop tank.. but I’ve heard they can be real picky eaters.

One time I forgot to turn my ATO back on after maintenance and overnight my tank got to 88.9°F! I was so worried that things were gonna start dying, but nothing happened. Corals and fish didn't miss a beat.

You have to remove the media bracket or filter sock. Do do you put those in the next chamber or just take them out?
I got dinos in my 20g nuvo a couple weeks ago, thankfully I didn't have coral in the tank yet so I got some phyto from a friend, dosed them and did a week black out.
So far they gone, but I went and got this sterilizer anyway cause it's got a lot of benefits

I've been having issues over the last couple weeks with a steady growth of dinos myself. Trying all I can to get rid of it this video might help.
Also was thst a Picasso Trigger with corals? I thought they didn't do well with corals? Beautiful corals in that store.
I'm gonna guess it was from a tank breakdown and they had nowhere to house it. Beautiful fish though!
