After all, It’s “worlds strongest man” NOT “worlds most proficient weightlifter” - that’s why I think the competition should bias static strength a lot more than it does athleticism, endurance, speed and technique. The most impressive overhead presser of this time. Did a strctish 240kg couple years back and 260 push press. The first lift is far ahead of pretty much anybody, maybe Julius Maddox could do something similiar and the second is unmatched even by top weightlifters who have the ability to utilize leg drive much more since they can rest the bar on the shoulders. Only prime Eddie Hall could have come near this if he tried maybe, just insane. Of course his cleaning is not good enough to show it in competition, but in trms of actual upper body stenght, this guy is in a totally different leage then any modern day strongman.

Lol no. Split jerk is 100% legs, 0% shoulders. It's one fast movement, you don't press at all, in fact press out is against the rules. Elbows should be locked in the splits. It's not even applicable. Sure you need some strength for the bar to be stable overhead, but Lasha's best overhead press is likely 130-140 kgs if not less, weightlifters don't train in nowadays. In general you don't need to strict press more than 50% of your jerk.

If he had found it easy to bench press, we would probably have seen some juicy benches from him. I don't think he could bench 350kg

That guy is a freak of nature. He moves like an 80 kg gymnast. The NFL should have recruited him.

Now imagine how impressive is Dmitry Klokov 225kg push press, he done it almost effortlessly from the bar resting on his front delts position, and not to mention while weighing almost half of Iron biby's weight

Klokov is an absolute legend for sure, and outrageously strong for a modern weightlifter. That said, a whippy oly bar with bumpers out to the sides is a LOT easier than an axle. If you catch the whip on the way up you get a lot more from your leg drive than pushing this huge, unbending monstrosity that covers your entire palm.
I started training the push press with an oly bar, utlizing the whip, and could barely do 90% of my max on axle, until I built up my triceps and shoulders. That 225 is probably closer to 200 with an Axle (still absolutely crazy, not doubt).
