- Trooping the colour 2016, the official celebration of Her Majesty the Queen's 90th birthday. Over 1400 soldiers are on parade, plus 200 horses and over 400 musicians of the foot guards and mounted bands of the household cavalry.

Rund 1.400 Soldaten paradieren zu Ehren von Queen Elizabeth II., die eigentlich schon am 21. April 90. Geburtstag hatte. Begleitet werden sie von über 400 Trommlern und Musikern der vereinigten Musikkapellen der Garde-Regimenter.

Excellent ceremony highlighted by fine musicians and compositions. My favorites: The Bond of Friendship at the 40:00 mark (difficult even when standing in place) and the Grand March from Aida at 45:40. I just hope the British people do everything possible to prevent their politicians from destroying their heritage. Congratulations on the vote to leave the EU. A great start. I hope the politicians get the message. As for the German viewers to this fine video, remove Angela from office as soon as possible and save your country in the process.

An der Seite wo auch die Queen sitzt ist ein Soldat mit einer Fahne was ist das für eine Fahne und Antwortet schnell.
Das ist für den Vorbeimarsch... bei der ersten Fahne kommt das Kommando "Eyes right!" ("Augen rechts!"), bei der zweiten Fahne das Kommando "Eyes front!", also Augen geradeaus.

Wie kommt man eigentlich immer auf die Zahl von über 400 Musikern, die Massen Bands sind inklusive Corps oft Drums und Pipers 265, da laufen die Bandmaster auch noch bei mit. Die Household Kavallerie mounted Band hat ca. 40 Leute. Macht bei mir unterm Strich etwas über 300. Trotzdem eine starke Sache.
Thomas Auth Herr Seelmann-Eggebert ist wahrscheinlich noch in den 70 und 80 Jahren denn da wahren es nämlich soviele Musiker. Aber es sind in den letzen Jahren auch in der britischen Armee zahlreiche Stellen abgebaut worden und deshalb bei weitem nicht mehr so viele Musiker und Gardisten bei der Parade wie früher dabei
Tatsächlich waren in den 70 er Jahren 400 Musiker beteiligt, ein Video von 1979 zeigt 400 Mann Guardsband, Corps oft Drums und Pipers.
Warum ich seit Jahren die Englische Version anschaue ? Weil der deutsche Moderator mir zu viel labert....
Das hat sich aber geändert, denn ganz viele Engländer schauen die Deutsche Vision, da die BBC dauerquasselt wenn die Märsche gespielt werden....

Why must BRD and Austrian commentators go on and on and on? This one talked straight through the Flourish and the Recover, the most solemn parts of the slow march, I don’t care how many German battle honours are on the Colour itself. Das liegt an den unterschiedlichen Dienstgraden, Unteroffiziere (NCOs), Feldwebel (WOs) und Offiziere tragen Handschuhe.

No that is not the whole of the british army i that is only the House hold division the british arm has about 100,000 people in but there are probably more as there are reserve

They are not toy soldiers, they are extremely, fit, fighting men dedicated to protecting the British realm and the Sovereign Queen herself. Our Queen has reigned for over sixty years. Now in her nineties she is still expected to carry out her duties. Just think about that, if you ever reach your nineties, would you be able to undertake such a role? So please have a little more consideration before insulting my nation and my Queen. Thank you.
