- Splash Mountain vs Tiana's Bayou Adventure Log Flume Attraction at the Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World Florida shot in 4K 60FPS POV! Tiana's Bayou Adventure just recently opened to the general public at the Magic Kingdom Park in Walt Disney World Florida! To commemorate the opening of Tiana's Bayou Adventure, here is a side-by-side comparison of our previous Splash Mountain POVs with our newest Tiana's Bayou Adventure POV! While we do have another comparison video of the Magic Kingdom's Splash Mountain and Tiana's Bayou Adventure on the channel, the previous video used the official Disney Parks POV of Tiana's Bayou Adventure, which I think did not capture the attraction well. Disney's official POV of Tiana's Bayou Adventure did not include the newly redesigned queue and mounted the camera to the ride vehicle, cutting out many of the scenes and animatronics throughout the attraction. In this updated comparison, I personally filmed both Splash Mountain and Tiana's Bayou Adventure to best capture the set design, animatronics, lighting, and queue in the best way possible, giving you the best side-by-side comparison of both attractions!
The Various Splash Mountain POVs used in this comparison video were filmed from 2020 to 2023 while Tiana's Bayou Adventure was filmed in Late June 2024

The whole point of splash mountain was the tension building throughout the ride for the big drop, that is completely lost in TBA. Had hey stuck to the original Princess Tiana film & theme and kept key characters while building up for the big drop, we would be looking at a ride far better than splash ever dared be. The imagineers fumbled this one, and I dont have to be "racist" or "in a cult" to admit this.
Really great to compare the 2 versions of the ride. I do think Splash was better. At least at Disneyland, it really did have that Critter Country vibe to it. While Tiana is not terrible or anything, it just seems to lack the feeling that Splash had. I think Tiana is now an attraction lower on my list.
Wish there was a POV of Splash where everything was working properly.
There are, but you'd probably be sacrificing video quality in order to see the animatronics back when they were at their best. There are POV recordings of the ride from as far back as the 90s that you can find if you dig around a bit.
Edit: the Splash Mountain at Tokyo Disneyland is actually very well maintained too, so you could probably find a much more recent POV of that version of the ride, as it's still operational today.

I still can't get over that we lost such a classic for whatever this junk is
I have been waiting for a side-by-side comparison, thanks for the video!
Splash Mountain forever!
Awesome video! Thank you! ❤ R.I.P. Splash
But welcome Tiana’s! Looks great, can’t wait to ride!
I’ve been fortunate enough to have ridden it twice during previews, and I can say it’s better in person.
@TheDeliLamaofSandwich nah
Thank you.
I’ll always remember splash Mountain for the memories you gave me first time I rode this ride back in 2015. I instantly fell in love with it and I wrote a 10 times during my first visit best memories ever and I’ll always love splash Mountain. Thank you for everything you gave me. 😢
The mountain can’t hear you
@@Frenchy702 shut up
$150M doesn't buy much anymore, except some plants and reskinned animatronics
is it me, or is the new queue music a little too loud?
also I'm not sure if the boarding location were different in the side by side, but there seem to be a lot more logs in view in the refurbished view (likely because the flow speed is slightly slower somehow)
You know what....if disney was on a budget cut that they had to use less animations and more screens wouldn't the smart thing to do be to listen to their audience keep splash mountain and replace a lot of the animations with these new state of the art ones? That sounds like an actual upgrade for a ride
Move on.
@@reginaldhampton3451 I know, what's done is done, but, one can dream.
Aloha to you too @ 11:43!!!!!!!!
I like the right side. They’re cute and the entertainment.
It's about time The Princess and The Frog got some love! this looks so nice. I'm sure they'll add things and tweak it over time. Disney needs to do some upgrades here and there. Splash Mountain looked wore out. Very nice indeed.
And the winner is... SPLASH MOUNTAIN!!!! 💦⛰🐰🦊🐻
yes i agree Splash Moutain is way better Tiana's bayou adventure sucks
Please do a commentary video I like when you did those videos like the ones on your other account Chris with a k
The GOAT Vs. Cringe mountain
Yes exactly! Tiana's isn't a mountain, so I assume you mean that Tiana's is the GOAT
Both are peak imo
Y’all get over it, it needed a upgrade
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure vs Racist Cartoon Animals
@@collectibleanimatedantiquesActual story that works with a thrill ride vs glorified Dora the Explorer episode
the fact that they were replaced with a screen 10:52 😭😭
Kinda sucks my kids won’t be able to experience splash like I did 😢
Looking forward to seeing Tiana the next time I go to Florida!
Worst retheme ever. Splash when it was taken care of steamrolls Tiana's, its so much more iconic, every song is memorable and Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah left a bigger impression on the end.
頼む…東京ディズニーランドはティアナにならないでくれ…
こんだけ不評が多いと流石に変わらない気がするけど…アメリカからの圧力もあるみたいだし不安になるよね〜…
I still prefer Splash Mountain to be honest. I know TBA fits the New Orleans square segment a lot but it doesn't have the same charm as SM.
I wish I was brave enough to go on splash mountain when it existed it looks so much better
It’s not
@@jaredfamily123 splash mountain looks better then tiana
@@clutchgod4932 As someone who’s been on both, it’s not people will tell you that there’s a dead space, but there is some but it’s not bad and the plants move and there’s other things going on still. Splash man has a ton of space not really used. Consistently all the animatronics would not work and people praise the story, but nobody goes on that ride for the story and it’s not even that complicated.
Unfortunately, you can give your opinion since you haven’t even been on any of them
@@jaredfamily123 yeah.. I think Tiana is better for decor but splash was something I’ll NEVER be able to try so I really wanna go on that
@@clutchgod4932 at one point splash was my favorite ride of all time even though I was a little bias. I acted like people act on the internet today. Now I can admit it has problems but seeing others praising the attraction in areas or ways people did not like or care for is genuinely upsetting, especially when Tiana fix’s a lot of those problems. Yes the ride has problems but the good things are fantastic just like splash. You’ll always see people hate on stuff like tianas just to hate, but when you stop wearing about the past realize that your just hyping things up because, well nostalgia, you’ll actually understand how impressive and cool tianas really is. Idk why so many people feel the need to cherry pick every little bad thing they dislike and just don’t have fun, but those are not really the people you want to hang around with. Hope you understand what I mean
❤
So, they forst Disney to take out a ride because of the music and change it to a ride looking for music? Bunch of drunk executives working there.
I literally want to curl into a ball and cry. All the incredible music, detail and scenery from Splash is gone. It’s all forgettable music and empty space with an animatronic here and there. The first animatronic you can literally see before entering the building on Splash.
What a downgrade SMH 🤦♂️, most of the areas which once had animatronics now are empty
Whoever signed off on this retheme should be jailed quite frankly. Awful.
“Sir, you’re under arrest for retheming a theme park attraction!”
"Youre under arrest for doing your job!! How dare you retheme a Disney park attraction that literally couldn't matter less in the grand scheme of things!!"
@@coasters_bgwMy post was sarcasm just as much as yours. But in all seriousness, it’s a massive downgrade and Disney should be ashamed.
We all love it when Louis said Hallejuah!!!!!!!
Splash was better there’s no comparison
The fact that a 30+ year old ride is better or even the same as TBA indicates the bad state of the American imagineers. TBA is boring, basic, and cheap and should have never gotten the green light until Disney had the budget and an actual story.
It was around $50mil. That's not cheap. Also, they built the most advanced AAs EVER
To me Splash Mountain is more rustic bland theme while Tiana's look more colorful and elegant. If they would of just would did more colorful to splash mountain, I would of said it was the winner because I did ride the ride before but it was just to boring for my taste. I like more character to the rides I ride. I haven't rode Tiana's Bayou yet, but since it has more characteristics to it looking at this video, I am looking forward to it.
TBA looks better after dark, too. 😊
I will ALWAYS be a fan and supporter of Splash Mountain over Disney's WOKE mountain, just for the WOKE reason Disney changed the attraction. Now Disney and their WOKE agendas are going after Peter Pan with removing the Indian scenes from the attraction.
WOKEYDOKY THEN.
Don’t get me wrong, Splash was really good, but I kinda prefer Tiana’s ngl
I actually agree with you, and splash was my all time favorite lol
Tiana's Bayou Adventure ride is a lot better than the old Splash Moutain ride because the scenery are amazing.
❤ I agree with you. I've heard that Disneyland's will be better than WDW's...we'll see!🎉
I’ve never seen a more overly dramatic group than Splash Mountain purists. I love Splash to be clear, but to say this is a massive flop, and horrible, etc. is beyond dramatic.
It's mid at best, but because it replaced something that was much better, it's gonna amplify the bad reviews specifically because it doesn't measure up.
The biggest fail seems to be that they were trying way too hard to play it safe and please everybody, and completely forgot that the ride was built as a thrill ride and inherently isn't for everyone. The story they are telling absolutely does not match with the ride system they tried reusing.
TBA is like something straight out of Bear-Y Tales at Knott's Berry Farm, not Disney. What a total downgrade!
Really? I don't see Knotts building the most advanced AAs ever, writing a brand new song, and building giant props/sets
I loved Splash Mountain, but hate this toxic cult following that has formed around it. Seriously get over yourselves.
You can’t really blame the fans for being upset about it when Splash has been dragged through the dirt by media outlets and its removal being treated like a “good riddance” thing. Yeah some people might go too far, but there’s more to it than just “my favorite ride closed, I’m upset”.
It's all for the kids. Children, especially my daughters ❤️ TBA animated movie. 🎉
You need to get over yourself because people have every right to be upset about disney axing iconic ride that meant a lot to them for a completely bs reason and replacing it with utter disappointment.
Can I just throw in the 10,000 pound gorilla into the room? Both versions were terrible!
✌🥸👍
Biggest downgrade of an attraction I have ever seen sadly. We lost one of the most thematic and amazing log flumes in park history for a generic bland no tension “upgrade” all in the name of wokism. Very sad
@TheDeliLamaofSandwichimpossible with families
Tiana is treated like a Dora the explorer character in this ride
You are no longer welcome here
Get lost
Nope, it is better.
@@reginaldhampton3451 gotta love the woke crowd accepting mediocrity in pursuit of “the message”
