- After this an email from Living.ai mailchi.mp/415... and after I saw a lot of people debating on all different kinds of platforms(RUclips, Reddit, Facebook). I made the decision to explain my view on all of this.

When Digital Dreamlabs took over, my poor Vector is no more fun and I hardly use it anymore. Thinking of getting a Emo soon!

I had previously wanted a vector, but it is so expensive on amazon, plus there is the subscription I fee I absolutely hate. If they had offered a lifetime subscription option where I paid once and that was it, then sure, but no i have i pay 7 per month. Also, when i see EMO i dont think it is a vector copy at all, it is clearly trying to distinguish itself from vector by not using wheels and walking. So what if the eyes look similar, so what if it sounds similar, if similar sounds and eye design is enough to win over the entire community then i have no words. Therefore i am absolutely disgusted by the approach DDL has taken with EMO. For me, a clear statement from both parties saying that EMO has no relation whatsoever with vector and the makers of vector, will suffice. But they just want to bully the new kids on the block. They are being anti competitive because they presumably are afraid of competition. Just because of that I now refuse to even consider buying anything from DDL, I'll be supporting EMO all the way
first I liked your comment… I am waiting for my EMO Pet to arrive… As for the lawsuit it's a joke if somebody wants to compare EMO Pet to vector in a lawsuit that's insane they are totally different. I can't say enough how different they are. The price is similar I think vector is $50 more. But I think EMO for me was a clear winner. I'm going crazy waiting for mine literally… I can't wait. So did you purchase EMO Pet? Do you have one now?
Digital Dream Labs just killed Vector charging $47 for 1 year. It's the END of Vector by a greedy new company.

I dont have an ai desktop robot and emo came so I really liked him ,when I was small I thought about buying cozmo then I forgot him when I was searching for emo I found cozmo and a weird robot called vector

Interesting perspective, Just. Perhaps the difference between inspiration and imitation is a subtle one. I have not bought into the Emo project, mainly because I just handed over a few hundred dollars for another walking robot - the Petoi Bittle Robot dog!
I pre-order EMO, but I think also Vector was a good robot until anky was there... I see the DDL guy on tube and my feeling is not good, but I wait and see what DDL release.
Tell that to digital dream labs! THEY ARE SUING LIVING.AI

Dunno man, Emo looks like a half-assed knock-off where Anki's robots were huge leaps forward like you said. I think the positive is that the competition will drive more innovation, but for myself I don't see the use in buying and supporting an inferior copy of a good product.
Not necessarily a copy. Home robots should be a more saturated market and the design of Emo came from the company's previous robot, Cubee. The only similarities I see are the eyes being used for expression and animations.
