I have MANY people in my family and circle willing to look at a deal and leave. They are so tired of the east and not feeling respected, wanted nor appreciated, also not feeling the province has any say at all in our own province. Borders change around the world all the time, large countries have a tough time staying together long term. We have little in common with the east, they believe we too have a distinct culture, different ideas of our future, wants, needs... and should be able to maintain ours as much as Quebec has and protects theirs. It is too big, too diverse for one king on one side of the country who's allegiance is mostly to Ontario and Quebec, to fairly 'rule' over all. With a serious offer, I believe many are ready to accept.
@@LoraInAlberta I not sure joining hell is better than Canada. The US is a dumpster fire of a Country. 80 Million people voted for an idiot bigot racist who is completely out of touch with reality. There isn’t enough money on the planet that would make me move to the US.
@@WATCHLLS This is going to be long even tho it is the short of it. Read or not, its up to you, but I do want to explain how I have come to believe the end is nigh. We can agree to disagree, I love the US and I love Canada, I have also been deeply ingrained in US politics down to following far too many congressional hearings since Hillary Clinton/Afghanistan. I know its politics as well as I know Canada's and I believe ours is in MUCH more trouble. Also Ive followed all of Trump's cases because I cannot trust any mainstream media, and through following them all I have cemented my opinion that ALL we get is lies, his cases were pure political lawfare with all cases dismissed, and 1 in appeals court. That all said, Trudeau has DESTROYED Canada, we have had open ports for years with only 1% of ALL IMPORTS having any security checks, ABSOLUTELY ANYTHING could have/be coming in from tons of materials to make deadly drugs, the TONS of drugs being made in these superlabs being found (that is being transported by semi's into the US to Mexico and back, something our gov won't talk about and part of Trumps reason to close our border), to military eqpt from China to God knows what else. ZERO of our rail is inspected, he has left our border open, our military has gone from 100k combat ready soldiers to 35k, to protect 3 coast lines and an entire country and with only 50% of our equipment ready for combat. If anyone needs a reason why Trump is taking action it isn't JUST the semi loads of drugs coming in through our border, it is the Chinese foothold in Canada making us an extreme national security risk. Our border is just the first step in them trying to secure themselves against a CCP move militarily. Why on earth would the U.S gov trust one single word uttered by this Liberal Party when it comes to cleaning up our border, ports, military..... when the last time that admin took Trudeau to task for not paying our 2% (yet sending BILLIONS to other countries for BS reasons), he made all these promises only to follow through with ZERO. Trudeau promised subs, planes, more security in our north.. NOTHING, absolutely NOTHING was done except he took a billion more FROM our military budget. Why would Trump trust his words again especially knowing he is (supposed) to be going and will be replaced by someone else installed who is even worse? They don't believe the lies anymore, they want to SEE THEM DOING IT. They may have millions coming through their southern border but they are 'feet', we have SEMI'S of drugs, I'd say the threat is pretty equal, so being honest, who can blame them for getting tough now? One might draw the conclusion the CCP doesn't want our security fixed, why would they want to stop a great thing that works for them, not to mention the India cartels. The U.S national security ppl have called this gov out endlessly, yet NOTHING changes, it gets worse. What is the answer but for the US to now stop playing this govs games? Sadly it again is the Canadian people losing our country, power and caught in the middle and who ultimately is and will suffer - even worse is apparently coming bc, again, Trudeau et al, REFUSE TO FIX THE BORDER. I guess a devastating, unwinnable trade 'war' and tariffs seem better to the NDP Liberals than ticking off their masters, we will be the casualties of a 'war' between others destroys the country and us. I could get in to the U.S security looking at our mass unvetted immigration that has let in millions of people, many with terrible intentions, terrorists, criminals, ISIS, now 5000 promised from GAZA, cartels, Chinese triad... (who by force, have taken over trucking, Uber and other businesses...as well as a MASSIVE drug making and shipping trade). We just don't have the will nor the law enforcement needed to ever get these people out and politicians on ALL levels who are bought and controlled, cleaned up. Our gov and RCMP aren't touching that one/any. and in fact is doing everything possible to hide it - therefore it will grow. T Our economy is teetering on collapsing, not JUST with merely our historic debt, but STILL paying 'refugees' thousands a month from the Syrians to many coming in today, even down to MILLIONS each on their legal battles to stay and not be deported (plus 6 appeals). We cant deal with the CCP's casino, drug and other laundered money bc it is also cleaned through vast real estate purchases from one end of Canada to the other, to even start to touch that one would collapse real estate, so really there is not much of an answer there either. They have been let to buy into our critical infrastructure, its funny that Trudeau destroys as much as he can of our oil and gas... then lets Chinese companies buy bankrupt businesses for pennies on the dollar. Anyway, when our Casino's have long been flagged by CSIS and RCMP as CCP money laundering operations and nothing has ever been done, in fact the opposite, everything is done to cover it up, it proves there is no will, bc our politicians CANT OR WONT. Our parties are infiltrated mostly by the Chinese, but India and who knows what other country controls our politicians, police, courts... NOTHING AT ALL is being done no matter how many CSIS and investigative journalists call it out, not even 5 eyes not trusting Canada anymore hasn't woken the sleeping masses, that is terrifying. Add that to the above and the MASSIVE DESTRUCTION caused by foreign influence and interference in Parliament, house votes, our senate and even down to manipulating elections. Chinese students were bussed in to vote for one (or more) MPs, others are known to be working/installed by the CCP bc, again, CSIS told us so, but 'inquests' are a joke so that too won't change without force. Even bringing up the Chinese business group that donated to and manipulated the first election that brought Trudeau in wasn't even investigated, questions were shoved under the rug. Now our next PM can be chosen by anyone who signs up to the Liberal Party to vote from 14 yr olds up. Our next PM is being installed in that process, a man who has a terrible reputation in the UK for spending them into heavy debt and then trying to affect their politics... not to mention he is a WEF sycophant - again, the CCP is heavily involved in the control of the Davos/WEF groups. I could go on and on, its going to take far far more than elections to fix what is broken and in my opinion it cant be. I would rather be on the side of a country with military might and a constitution, unlike our country.... I would prefer that than to be their enemy or caught in a likely US/China war where we are the best place to put a Chinese army. The future of the country I have loved and cherished my entire life may not be saved. Borders change in the world all the time, Canada is too big, too diverse, too different in needs and ideas of their futures for ONE totalitarian out east to rule fairly over all. Ive given this much thought.. I dont see another way for the future. The novel that this turned out to be is only a toe in the water of the problems in Canada now that go right to our core, in my opinion it just cant be tackled fast enough and God forbid Carney stays, it will happen MUCH FASTER as he tries to use UBI and digital currency, censorship... all the things he supports to take control of the rest of our freedoms...and let the groups they belong to kick the door WIDE OPEN to their experiment on Canada. We are too blind, weak willed and too late to save much, even Pierre can't tackle all this, it is a war.

This would be the perfect time for some provinces to approach the USA about joining the union, IF the USA favored it. Canada already has precedents for secession and the rules have been set. Canada could not dispute it, because they do not have the clout to keep a willing Alberta joining the mighty USA.
If Alberta thinks it is getting done wrong by Ottawa, wait til its under Washington. Washington has far more control of oil resources in the US than Ottawa does in Canada; just ask Texas or New Mexico; and they combined have a population of just over 24 million. Little ole Alberta with its 5 million would be a pushover for Washington no matter how much crude oil Alberta could produce. All this will do is functionally be the equivalent of the NEP2.0, using tarriffs to hurt Alberta's energy sector and subsidize the auto industry in vote-rich Ontario at Alberta's expense. If the US puts a 25% tariff on goods there consumers need whether it’s parts there factories need or direct goods like food or beverage the price of those goods will go up. Many items that the US imports they currently can’t make or produce themselves. So if the US puts a tariff on say widgets and the direct result is Joe sixpack in the US is now paying an extra 25% for that product. Doesn’t cost Canada a penny.
Lower personal and corporate taxes? Yes please. Lower assets converted to US currency? Yes please. Lower costs and of living including housing and food? Yes. More freedom of speech? Yes. Better access to markets for our oil, gas and other goods? Yes.
I’m a 6th generation, bilingual Albertan and I’m ready for Alberta to join the USA. Canada offers little to nothing for my children and grandchildrens futures except more taxes, government overreach and a multicultural nightmare.
@@BradLow-y8j Sounds like you would be a perfect American.
Quicker just go there yourself than waiting Alberta to join for you

The number of the day is 51. The word of the day is, Independence.🙌
Instead of joining USA we should partner with the EU or BRICS nations to develop trade. A much better option in my opinion.
It would make sense for Alberta to join The United States! Alberta I think has a lot in common culturally with Montana and for sure Texas,, Alberta would be a good fit and hey you can have the second adminment!!
Half of Canada will move to Alberta:)
@@rennieterbogt1202 Nope, to friggin cold 🥶
This would be the perfect time for some provinces to approach the USA about joining the union, IF the USA favored it. Canada already has precedents for secession and the rules have been set. Canada could not dispute it, because they do not have the clout to keep a willing Alberta joining the mighty USA.
Why not ...as canadian economy is always dependent on usa..so no harm n joining

As a born and raised iced Alberta boy I would do anything in my power to make Alberta the 51st state. As long as we leave eastern Canada behind.
@@matthewwhyburd Be careful what you wish for 😊
If Alberta thinks it is getting done wrong by Ottawa, wait til its under Washington. Washington has far more control of oil resources in the US than Ottawa does in Canada; just ask Texas or New Mexico; and they combined have a population of just over 24 million. Little ole Alberta with its 5 million would be a pushover for Washington no matter how much crude oil Alberta could produce.
Alberta is not worth the two extra senators and four or five congressional seats. Fact is Alberta could never be a red enough state for the Republicans and Democrats do not want a whiner state with a history of riding the wave, and sabre rattles every time it doesn’t get it’s way.
You guys aren't the economical powerhouse you think you'll are, actually pretty low in terms of GDP, just super low population therefore having low social costs. You guys don't want to pay equalization payments. Sure we'll send you all the useless people we have to have here out east and we'll be even. None of you idiots have any political or economical knowledge and it shows
Legally not feasible, same for Quebec. You would leave with 10% of the current territory without the OIL areas 🤣🤣🤣
The question is, why has all the other provinces taken advantage of Alberta for so long, and why don't they give a damb?
@@ChrisMichalkow United country, how many times has the rest of Canada supported Alberta when they needed help! MANY TIMES
@@WATCHLLSand how exactly were we helped? Alberta has been footing the bill for Canada since Pierre. Billions upon billions in equalization payments, are you suggesting that the rest of Canada has supported Alberta with the equivalence of the hundreds of billions we have been looted for over the years?
Join the USA.. no freehealthcare, no cpp retirement, no veteran funds , be the stone age again
I don't believe there is a significant push for secession from Canada in Alberta, but I strongly believe we can achieve a better outcome by negotiating with the author of "The Art of the Deal" than by waging an economic war with a country whose economy is 10x ours. All this will do is functionally be the equivalent of the NEP2.0, using tarriffs to hurt Alberta's energy sector and subsidize the auto industry in vote-rich Ontario at Alberta's expense. We can see the writing on the wall and Smith has the best plan so far. (Far better than Trudeau's plan of "make a $1.3 Billion unbudgeted promise he cannot fulfil without bringing Parliament back, ending the prorogue and (assuming Singh actually keeps his word) triggering an election." aka "do nothing")
I don't agree at all, almost everyone I know is willing to have the discussion now.
@@LoraInAlberta would that still be the case if Harris won? If not, what does that mean about commitment? Changing your mind once the government changes isn’t like canceling a Netflix subscription….
Let’s go Alberta! Lead the way for the rest of us and join USA.

@ what? Are you from Alberta or something?
Bring our 365 billion of CPP for the APP and then we will go.
@@jhelpj Don’t believe the news about thinking Alberta would be talking 365 billion out of the CPP. The dollar amount in fact is about 120 billion. Remember you wouldn’t have any paid healthcare or safety nets as Trump is removing anything that helps the poor in the US.
@WATCHLLS your 120 billion is Low. This has been Calculated but independent acct firms.

Yes, Danielle wanted a carve out for the oil industry, although quite successful in bringing down from 25%, but still is 10% and may change as Trump cannot make up his mind.
@@petergalaszkiewicz6770 As soon as gas prices start jumping by $1 a gallon in the US dumbass Trump will change his tune. The US doesn’t have enough refineries setup to process gasoline and other petroleum from their own domestic Oil. The refineries (a lot of them) are setup to process heavy crude which they get from Canada.
well ms smith I actually thought you were smart I quess I was wrong about you.
Well if she wants to go American then go for but you will fall flat on your face eh !!! lolololol
That is EXACTLY the reason why so many Albertans are ready to discuss our futures... it is because your comment is exactly the kind of treatment Alberta gets after what we give to this country. Its sad, but that is reality. PS, realistically there is nothing to 'fall on our face' about, nothing in Canada is strong, secure, free or economically stable and it will only get worse if a UN/Liberal/NDP gov continues, and I say this as an Independent who will and has voted for any party with a common sense platform.

Alberta has been the abused piggy bank of eastern Canada since the 80s and they are asking us to destroy our economy so the narcissists out east can feel important. The truth is without Alberta oil and gas the rest of Canada doesn’t stand a snowflakes chance in hell in a tariff war. We have been paying billions to the east and essentially floating the liberals stupid spending policies for a very long time. It’s not about capitulation. It’s about telling an idiot not to bite the hand that feeds them.
