Apart from the dark saber which is still shrouded in mystery, the most interesting colour to me is white. 1 theory is (I think Ashoka that said it) that it was due to healing a bleeded crystal. But otherwise it seems so neutral. It may also come more frequently to wookies as a wookie is seen having a white saber during practice/training in the fight between Anakin and Baris Offee in the clone wars. Tyvokka seemingly didn't have a white saber but had a yellow one naturally (aka not passed down as with the temple guards) a bit before the clone wars when the jedi were pretty dogmatic already.
here's a cool theory you just inspired in me.... ....much like the white sabers Ahsoka uses were purified red light sabers.... ...well what if the dark saber is a white purified lightsaber crystal warped back into a type of red saber, but actually turned black instead of going back to being red....????? hmmm🤔🤔🤔
@@MeepTooGee truth be told...before that.. i thought maybe Tar Vizla crystalized beskar in some way to make the crystal emit the iconic black blade...but until they create a official explanation... it's all conjecture....
Not too long ago, I learned that in Star Wars lore, Anakin was going to have a purple-colored lightsaber. This makes sense to me because those who use purple-colored lightsabers walk the light side but have a strong attraction to the dark side. And unfortunately, since Anakin was essentially the order's poster child, he wasn't allowed to switch to one.
Originally the orange lady from TPM had a red lightsaber but they made her change it, despite having a highly rare crystal, after the Sith returned. I wish the Jedi weren't so opposed to colors...
I completely agree with this. Force thought Jedi their way, showed the the way, opened their minds. As aresult they were whole person. They had all emotions. And had control. Luke and his children are perfect example. High Republic is perfect era. I would love to learn and see more about the Jedi at that time. And the High Republic. May the Force be with you too :)
I would like to see a novel or something come out where we get to see the event that triggered the change in the Jedi Order from how it was in the High Republic Era to the Prequel Era. I know in Legends, after the Battle of Ruusan, the Jedi Order instituted reforms in response to the events of the that war. Since many Jedi fell to the dark side and joined the Brotherhood, the surviving Jedi Masters decided on a more strict and rigid approach to training to prevent this from happening again. And as Yoda said in the ROTS novel, he was trained by those who fought in this last war. His teachers were implementers of the change, and he wouldn't allow things to change in his time. It was only towards the end of ROTS that he realized and fully accepted that times had changed, and what worked back when he was a Padawan would no longer work in the here and now because times had changed. The galaxy had changed, and people and the Sith had changed with the times. Now we have the High Republic novels and comics out, and I don't see any of the strictness and rigidity that we've seen in the Jedi Order of the Prequels. We haven't seen Yoda seemingly "leading the charge" to impose these restrictions. You'd think he would have because I don't see these restrictions being accepted as the norm in Legends after a few years or a generation. It probably took a century or two before it became the norm in Legends. So how did the Jedi Order become so restrictive and dogmatic by the Prequels? I'm certain the sudden confrontation with the Nihil played a factor. Was it the final nail in the coffin, so as to speak? Or did something else happen afterwards? We need a novel explaining how and why this transition occurred.
I'm pretty sure it's only around 100 years or so before TPM that the Jedi really started to get dogmatic and ridiculous which led to their downfall. Pre modern era and post in Luke's era are sooooo much better. The closer to the code of the Jen'Dai the better. Also Yoda wasn't Grandmaster until TCW, before that Mace Windu was actually Grandmaster but once the Sith returned Mace stepped down and let Yoda take back over.
I always thought it would be awesome to have a prismatic lightsaber where the color flash repeatedly or maybe a thing where the user can hit a switch to temporarily change the color from one to another...that would be really cool.
I was thinking that it would be cool to see more lightsaber crystals that have been affected or changed in some way like the ones from the Force Unleashed games or like Kylo Ren's fractured crystal and how those physical changes augment the blade.
I'd have to be either in the High Republic or Luke's Jedi Order as a sentinel. It's crazy how I used to idolize the Clone Wars era and then I realized how wrong they were.

Corran Horn also wielded a silver blade, which was common from his Halcyon lineage. I really miss pre-Disney.

Lowbacca. Bronze. Literally broke everything because George was all like "woah, a wookie jedi?"
There was a line in the limited Invasion comics that summed up everyone's reaction to this:
"A Wookie with a lightsaber? That's overkill."
Did they ever explain how to get specific colors in the High Republic? Such as Cyan blue, Indigo, or Tortoise.
Yes, more canon material please. This channel always does a good job with canon and legends. Very cool.
I'd like to see more on the Expanded Star Wars legends. The books are infinitely better than what Disney is coming up with in their "cannon"
Same here.
Anakin was the chosen one in the force but you could say kenobi was the chosen one with the skill of the lightsaber.
I think the meaning behind the white crystal is nautral in the force not a light side or a dark side user but a nautral
