Honestly, J.Seph in general, in criminally underrated. He's an amazing rapper (yet no one ever mentions him when discussing the best idol rappers), his vocals are pretty good too, and just like you've noticed, he's a great dancer as well. I'm no expert in dancing, but to me his moves are simultaneously controlled and fluid. Like, you can tell he's trying hard and he worked a lot to be as good as he is, but at the same time it looks effortless and like he's just having fun. His energy and humor also helps. When he comes back from the military and they have a comeback with all 4 members, I really hope they'll get more popular and that J.Seph in particular will get more recognition. He's way too good to be this overlooked.
100% agreed! i didnt even know he was the main rapper when i joined the fandom, because people almost never talk about him. even within hidden kards, i feel like most people only like him because he's funny and cute, and not for his skills. he's written and pulled off some crazy complex verses, his lyricism is so good and like you said, he's a great vocalist and dancer. i really hope their next comeback would showcase his talents a lot more so that he gets the appreciation he deserves!

I honestly think why they have success as a coed group is because they are fluid as a group. They all do aggressive or feminine moves really well. So they are seen as a cohesive group and not just a group that seems to have two separate units together or like it’s a collab. They also dress in a similar style.
Jseph went so hard in red moon but also he went off in all of them!! His energy is so good and I think the bomb bomb one was a good one for them all. They are all such amazing performers I hope to see them live one day!!

the reason why you don't see a lot of coed groups is because the korean netizens are more strict when it comes to idols and relationships and things like that. having opposite gender members in groups is a really easy cause for scandals. there have been coed groups in the past but they basically all disbanded due to these reasons and kard is one of the only two active coed groups right now (as far as i know). the other coed group is called checkmate and they just debuted at the end of last year so they're a rookie group. i think the reason why kard didn't end up disbanding like the past groups is because around 2017 kpop was becoming more international so there was a lot of support from international fans

About how they came together, they are under dsp media. dsp made one of the first coed kpop groups in the 90s and decided to try again in 2016 with kard. 3 of the members BM, J.seph, and Somin (the girl in red in the last video) had been under the company already for about 4-6 years so they were already good friends. Somin had actually debuted twice before in the groups Purrety and April but she left because the cute concept was for her. BM and J.seph were preparing to debut as a rap duo but the company threw out the idea of a coed group. Those three were the foundation but they wanted another girl to even it out. Lucky for them Jiwoo(the girl that went off in the last video) had just left her previous company FNC where she trained for 5 years and went to audition at dsp. They like her and immediately added her to the line up and let her record the demo of their first song that day. Which also happened to be BM’s birthday so he has referred to her as a birthday present before. Now almost 5 years later they are the biggest coed kpop group but they are more popular internationally than in korea. There are several videos where the guys and girls change part in the choreography and I love it since the guys aren’t afraid to do the girls dance or part of the choreography but they are definitely a group you should check out more

You don't typically see mixed groups because a concern is that people think the members will end up dating or whatever. That was a big concern with K.A.R.D in the beginning but they literally siblings especially with BM (he has no fiter and there are some of vids of him having no filter).
I was thinking yesterday that you need to watch Kard...this 3 songs, "oh na na" one of my favorites, and definitely check "gun shot" too. They usually have dance performances videos and the dances practices of a lot of songs

the guy in the fur coat is jseph & really likes performing the girls parts of the songs lol. He’s also VERY energetic. they’re all great dancers but he definitely puts a lot into it. they are one of the longest lasting coed groups in kpop if not the longest already!
