I do think Nicki’s team convinced Ice to let Nicki have the lead on the single so it appears on Nicki’s album & on her RUclips channel, but the song is definitely Ice Spice AND Nicki, not Nicki FEATURING Ice 🙃. I think Barbie wanted Ice because she was hot and had just done a song with Taylor Swift, but they weren’t thinking about Nicki. Which is dumb on their part but that’s typically how those that make decisions are. A room full of white people who are disconnected from the culture are who make these decisions. Ice did the right thing by having her on the song, but if she would’ve suggested someone like Cardi, Doja, etc. Barbie would’ve accepted that as well.
