Saguaro cactus does not grow in New Mexico, so would not be appropriate for the gate if accuracy is important to you. I've always liked the Zia symbol. It is simple, attractive, iconic and timeless. But the combination Zia and roadrunner image (last example shown) has merit as well. Weather continues to impress out there. Lucky you!
Ya, I think we are leaning towards a combination Zia with a roadrunner or coyote in the center. Going to hit some New Mexico artisan stores this weekend in Albuquerque and see if we can find something unique to what we are seeing online from a local artist.
