The center conductor of the feed cable connects to the outer conductor of the second "dummy" coaxial cable. The outer conductor of the feed cable is connected to nothing - the current flows from the transmission line mode inside cable, and at the feed point the current exits the inside of the outer conductor and travels along the outside of the outer conductor. Restated: inside of outer conductor (transmission line) connects to the outside of the outer conductor (antenna) at the feed point.
If you look at the deshred ancient Egyptian crown it is a double spiral parabolic antenna, the latter is the higher back of it, there are also those curious curly tail lizard with same design (earth replaces the parabolic. In my opinion the design is limited for lower frequency, could you recreate that design or figure the math? In crown the rim should be the reception, but it could be just for back head or a lost inner piece. Can u...?
You do a great job explaining the material!
You have prepared a very educational video. Thank you.
Hi Pete, helpful video and I enjoy your channel. Just FYI - this video is ~30sec delayed as compared to the audio. Take care.

very interesting work
What would the effects be of having a spiral radial on a vertical antenna?
Are there any examples of HF antennas using this? Perhaps like 29 mHZ?
I imagine it would be too big at lower frequencies.
can u explain the effect of dielectric constant of the material.

Nice information thanks and 73.
