I feel like this really answered a lot of questions that I have about how to push clients to the next level. I feel like I have done a lot of upsales, but I often don't charge for my thinking and my strategy skills. These are the skills that keep me in business, but unfortunately since I haven't charged for them, I never really gain ground financially. Thankfully my customers enjoy my strategy skills. Now I just need to start charging for them 😉

Great Advice Ross! Love what you're teaching here on RUclips. It's hard to get your foot in the door with clients sometimes if you haven't done big projects yourself - what I've found that's really helped me sell that I'm "Worth it" is to white label for some other Agencies / Production companies in the beginning who already work with big brands, and use those projects with big brand names as proofing when pitching to your own prospects. The perceived value of your experience immediately shoots up and lets you charge more as they feel if these other brands have trusted you, then your prices must be worth it.

Thanks dude! Really valuable advice for filmmakers too! There is so much to be said about working whitelable, you get the experience, access to high level projects and also get to see how things work from a business perspective. It's actually something I wish I did more of at the start but I think our growth put those people off using me 😂😂 thanks for leaving the comment mate! 🙏🏼

Just looking to summarize and see if maybe i missed something.. It was as simple as you employing strategy/consultation meets with businesses to communicate your knowledge and reasons why content side to build trust and show them your wits?

Fantastic video! If you're doing a business overview video for a client that will go on social media, do you reckon it's worth addressing in the video any concerns people may already have with the company? Eg: hello fresh had a new video which acknowledged their high price and tried to justify it through persuading the audience they were paying for time saved/quality meals etc. As with social media, people may try and voice their concerns about the company and in the video if you're respectful and aware of the company's concerns, you could beat them too it?

Absolutely! Although, depending on how brave they are, you might want to keep their overview on brand but offer them a series of short FAQ type videos that can be used for that same reason - objection handling 😀🔥
