Adele Live 2016-17 was a commercial success. In Australia and New Zealand, Adele smashed attendance records at all venues where she performed. It was estimated that the tour sold more than 600.000 tickets for eight shows in Perth, Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide and Melbourne, Australia, and 130.000 tickets for her three Auckland shows in New Zealand. In Sydney, Adele shifted almost 200.000 tickets for her two shows at ANZ Stadium on March 10th and 11th, 2017. Her March 11th concert was the biggest concert ever in Australian history with over 98.000 people. Her concerts also caused traffic chaos across the habour city in which she had to delay her first shows to 45 minutes and her second show to 30 minutes.
