  • How loyal are you to your favourite cruise line and how loyal are they back in return? We take a look at P&O UK's loyalty programme, its 6 tiers, and all the perks involved. Can it actually save you money? The answer is "yes", if you've shown some loyalty. Here's how it works!
    What's your favourite loyalty programme out there? Not every cruise line actually has a loyalty programme and some offer less / more than others. Some cruises lines like MSC will allow you to join their equivalent tier without ever having sailed with them. There was a time when Princess did the same with P&O customers. It's all to play for!

    Some good points in this vlog, especially about some loyalty wifi. One thing I'd like to see is some loyalty across the whole Carnival group ie. P&O recognise loyalty from Cunard and/or Princess etc.

      Yea that would be great (although we were fortunate in that we had our P&O loyalty recognised by Princess a number of years ago before they scrapped this)

    I'm currently on Atlantic but my next cruise (already booked) will get me to Mediterranean tier. Of the benefits so far the discount is by far the most useful and that, added to my shareholder extra on-board spend on every cruise, is something really worthwhile.

      I agree - the discount is not something you tend to get on other cruise line Programmes and this is a significant perk for us

    I think that when you reach the top gear a gift card, video message on your t.v. And or a small gift should be sent to you by the ships God parent as a thank you for your loyalty.😃

    I dont like that on the Baltic tier, you must of travelled at least 80 nights in the last 3 years, its not ensuring loyalty, its literally cutting out anyone who works full time, who havent dedicated every booked holiday of the year to cruising, including bank holidays.

      I understand you point. However, there are 4 tiers before this - the 4th offering many significant perks. Some lines don’t have a Programme and some offer much less. Give me 10% discount amongst other perks on caribbean Tier and I’m very happy

    P&O loyalty club is much less helpful compared to other lines. I shall not be trying to rise up it’s tiers , Princess is better and actually makes me want to cruise more.

      I disagree here - for me princess has a good programme for sure but they stopped the priority embarkation for us on the last few cruises and they don’t offer discounted bills at the end.

      @@TravelBlogJamie why did they stop priority boarding, this has not come up for me yet, but I am elite with them and I do’nt keep cruising with them , in fact I have not been on a Princess cruise since before Covid, so I may find that things have changed.

      @@23oakhill we are Elite too - they gave no reason to us, just said on the last 2 cruises we did that it wasn’t offered on our cruises for some reason. We had a mini bar set up which was pointless because we had Drinks package. All seemed a bit futile.

      @@CyclingRobinToronto thanks for your comments - we honestly do not cruise based on loyalty programmes - we cruise with lots of lines. Getting the % discount on all our drinks / drinks package, spa treatments, specialty dining, excursions etc is the biggest draw for us with this particular programme, though
