  • Welcome to Hollydaysatsea and my latest video.
    Episode 2 of my Cabins to Book and Avoid series focus's on P&O cruises brand new ship Arvia. What a fabulous ship she is. If you are new to the P&O Cruises fleet and new to Arvia, then this episode shows you some really great locations to book and also any areas that may create an issue for seasickness or possible noise or vibration. SO here is your Ultimate Guide to booking your perfect cabin on P&O Cruises Arvia.
    My personal view of course as always and I very much recommend you do your research before you book. Not everyone wants to prebook a cabin and are happy forthe cruiseline to choose one for them, this in many instances can save you money. If you do prefer to know your location then this video is a good place to start.

    Hi. Excellent analysis, thank you. One point about the extended balconies, our neighbour was in one and didn't like it as they overlooked all the other balconies, and those balconies overlooked them. This lack of privacy stopped them from using the balcony. Conversely, some people loved them as they could talk to their neighbours more easily.

    • @hollydaysatsea
      @hollydaysatsea  Год назад +1

      Exactly, I think with these cabins I wanted to show the photos so passengers know what to expect and can make there own mind up. Great for groups of friends too. Thankyou Richard for your lovely comment and great point you make.

      @hollydaysatsea  Год назад

      Hi Dean , cabin 9321 seems to be a popular choice, for many the extended balcony cabins are a big hit. The ones on deck 9 are slightly overlooked by cabins on deck 10 only slightly so just make sure you are ok with this too :-)
      So happy for you, which sailing are you booked on?

    Just got back from 2 weeks on Arvia’s sister ship Iona. While I agree that in general deck 4 seems like a good deck to be on, we stayed in 4460 and a lot of noise from the stabiliser hydraulics which must be underneath cabins in that area. No doubt the same is true on the other side of the ship.

    Very informative, thanks Holly. I was wondering what is on deck 3. Is that a service deck, and if so, isn't there going to be constant, 24 hour noise into the deck 4 cabins?

    • @hollydaysatsea
      @hollydaysatsea  Год назад +1

      Hi George, a very good question but from what I here no one in deck 4 has ever mentioned any noise coming from deck 3 that I have heard of. I have stayed on other ships and been on the bottom deck and can honestly say although I was concerned at the time I heard no noise from below .

    Hi Holly were in 16212 on the Iona & loved it....near The Epicurean, Crows Nest & Adult only are on Deck 17. Our bed was next to the balcony. We are looking for a duplicate set out balcony room on the Arvia. Room 16206 is available, but how do i find out if the bed is nearest the balcony ?

    • @hollydaysatsea
      @hollydaysatsea  11 месяцев назад

      Hiya, the only way I know is to join the Arvia facebook groups and search for your cabin 16,206. Now these cabins are next to each other and from what I believe without being able to guarantee it the layout of beds is alternated . So 16206 will probably have the sofa next to the balcony . Maybe a quick call to P&O cruises for the answer. As no way of knowing from the deck plans. :-)

    I’m worried about being seasick down the Bay of Biscay. What Deck would you recommend for a med cruise in the summer? I had a deck 9 recently on Venture which was ok to Amsterdam…?

    • @hollydaysatsea
      @hollydaysatsea  Год назад

      Bay of biscay can be hit and miss as we know but not too bad in the summer months , ideally you want to be between deck 10 midship or if not deck 9-11 but midship ideally for the best position. Hopefully you will be fine and the weather lovely.
