    I passed my CC exam a few weeks ago. It is very comparable to the security+. I’d say the material on the CC correlates to at least 75% of the security+, but that extra 25% is still a large gap. This is, however, a fantastic entry-level cert for those just starting cybersecurity, or even those just interested in it.

      Have you taken the Sec+? I’m taking it in a few weeks and if that’s the case, then yeah this would be a good comparable test to it.

    I've been in IT for 20 years, but mainly on the network/small business side. I do a lot of POS, VOIP, printers, workstations, etc. I'm looking to specialize in cybersecurity now. I'm trying to put together a plan for the next 5 years. I want to do government work within that timeframe. So I'm looking at CISSP, OSCP, SSCP, CEH, GAIC, CYSA+, CFR, GSNA... so many letters. It's a little intimidating because while I have practical knowledge, I'm a beginner in Python and have very little experience with SEIM like Splunk besides initial setups and bug testing. I do use wazuh at home on my personal computers though. So I'm looking into training courses that will fill in the gaps, and also add something to my resume dedicated to what I'd like to be doing. I would like to go into pentesting because there seems to be a lot of consulting/gig work in that field.

      Wow, it seems like you’re motivated and have a plan to act on it. You’re definitely more along than I am. Based on what you said, this exam shouldn’t be too hard to learn. But like you said, so many letters… It’s mostly just those acronyms and buzz words that will get you on the exam. If you already have the practical knowledge you’re already on the right track. Udemy is a good and cheap start for courses for some of those exams. Good luck!!

    if you don't pay the membership will your certification become "invalid"?

      I believe so. But to be honest, you could probably still get it on your resume since you passed the exam. You know?

    How's the difficulty and the range of topics compared to CCST Cyber?

    • @Jamesytech22
      @Jamesytech22  8 месяцев назад +1

      Good question. In my opinion, it was harder than the CCST. The CCST has more Cisco knowledge while this exam has security governance in it along with some terminology that I didn’t see on that exam. However, if the CCST was easy for you then this test probably won’t be too much harder.

      @@Jamesytech22 thanks! Going through the course and my notes it definitely didn't seem easy. However I just passed with 95% so I might gife CC a go.

      Good luck!! The main thing for me was the terminology. Along with that the incident response and business continuity was a new topic that wasn’t seen much on the CCST

    It took me less than 2 weeks to prepare but I'm looking into SSCP next since I already have the experience
