Prewar Cars @ Gempen Memorial Hill Climb 2023 - Aero Supersports JAP, Delahaye 135, BMW 328

Close to 120 vintage vehicles from 1911-1968 participated in the Gempen Memorial 2023 Hillclimb in Switzerland this weekend. Whereas in 1911 the "fastest" driving time from Dornach to Gempen was determined in an exciting mountain test drive among the very differently motorized vehicles with a complex correction formula, this year the riders had to get as close as possible to a set reference time on the attractive mountain course at the foot of the Gempenfluh with a winding 5210 meters and 30 bends. The video shows the field of the "prewar cars" with many exciting cars (e.g. Morgan Aero Supersports JAP, Allard Special, a Delahaye 135, BMW 328) in transfer to the start in Dornach and then in hillclimb to Gempen.

Um da 5x hoch zu schleichen muss man nicht 430.- bezahlen: Sonntag Morgen um 7 Uhr aufstehen reicht. Und wenn man au mehr als 59 km/h Durchschnitt fährt, wird man nicht disqualifiziert. Rausgeworfenes Geld. Aber eben... die Eitelkeit...😉
