Your videos have explained so much including why I fart out of the bottom of the mask, tape goes on tonight to try it out. I have yet to get a good nights sleep in the last month, but we still have a ton of material to watch.. Thank you

I’ve slept absolutely poorly this entire year so far and I went to my sleep doctor today with questions on things to change with my CPAP therapy that might help and she was open to all of them and said they were good questions. I am officially on a constant pressure as of tonight and getting a full face mask soon! I may finally get a good night’s sleep soon thanks to you!
Any leak ruins my night. I have to tape my mouth and wear a chin strap. Fixed pressure worked great for me for about a year until I started waking up several times a night with my cheeks blown up. Turning on EPR fixed that but now I'm waking up with headaches again.
When I have a perfect mask seal I end up with agonizing belly gas. I tried the vcon but it made it hard to breathe in. I’m 2 months into this cpap journey and so frustrated. My sleep counselor only seems to care about my credit card info. 😢

Pro tip... when buying a used machine, smell the filter end, the air input... if it smells like perfume, like incense, or like cigarettes, run, don't walk, away! I have to take them apart and put the pieces in a SoClean that I've hacked for this purpose... the motors are goners, no cleaning I've found yet fixes them.

I finally got my leak rate almost non existent over the last several day using bleep mask and mouth tape but now may have some aerophagia 😢🤬 At least now I feel I am getting honest feedback on my flow rate. Stuey hands down debate winner. Sorry if I mis-spelled your name Stu buddy! Thanks Jason
I have an unrelated question, I use a yootar chin strap that wraps around the back of your head. It causes me neck discomfort or pain do you know how I can fix this?
Why does my one side of my nose get stuffed with the cpap? When I go to the bathroom at 1 or 2 am one side is always stuffed. Sometimes I use my navaige but I can't keep it up every night ! Am I the only one with this problem or is it just something with cpap????
You need too be checked for a deviated septum that’s what I had and same issues like you .i got it corrected and no more issues ,im no doctor or expert of shit im just giving you my view whoever your are ,I hope you get better I have been on CPAP for almost 3 years now .
This may be a dumb question but how concerned should I be about leaks from my mask. Are low leak rates acceptable? Like below 5? Obviously zero is ideal, I just never concerned myself when I see "low" leak rates thinking it's fine.

Love your videos. I'm on ASV and have random periods of Cheyenne Stokes breathing and looking at my breathing on SleepHQ, I can see that it's all jacked, even when it shows no leaks at all. Not getting any answers from my Sleep Doc and I'm dead tired all the time, even though my AHI is sometimes between 0-2. Can anything be done to address that?
Hey Jawson, I bought both my CPAPs on marketplace. Both are unfortunately respironics. But I did get to exchange both of them for post recall machine. Neither one has a memory card. The Philips respironics branded ones are quite pricey. Can you give me an example of what specs I need to look for to purchase an aftermarket card.
Any old camera card less than or equal 32GB will work, after 32 the specs get weird. Drug stores and Walmart sell them. Full size and 32gb or below... all good.
Leaks are why I can't use ANY of the current headgear, and have to keep buying my discontinued LT Swift through 3rd party sellers and keep taping my mouth shut which, let's face it, SUCKS. Oh those stupid smiley/frowny faces. 🤬

I don't know. My cat walks around scratching my furniture, attacking my other elderly cat, and occasionally pissing on something for God only knows why. He can probably rule Cell Block C like a champ though.

Try mouth tape with your nasal too. Jason has a great video about mouth tape!

I recently started using a chin strap and a mask cushion liner and that has reduced my leak rate. I use the Resmed F40 mask.

It's almost surely from leaks. Can also be from an EPAPmin that is set too high.
