He is quite simply an honest, truthful bloke with integrity ( very rare in today's narcissistic social media driven society), and I get a Bill Nicholson vibe every time I listen to him. Like Bill Nic I believe that the players have a healthy fear of him but GENUINELY respect him and won't want to let him down. As a player, it must be wonderful to take to the field under this bloke, knowing that if they're trying to implement his tactics but fail he won't give them the hair dryer but just encourage them to keep going and it will work out. I coached both junior netball and basketball and my kids never did anything without the ball involved. They got to try stuff and keep playing sone kid of game, and never knew they were actually getting fitter as well. I hated running just for the sake of fitness. I don’t even like walking to stay fit. I’d rather potter for hours in my garden and only rarely consider why I sleep so well afterward just occasionally. But I know. Choosing what you love and love doing it.Thats fitness for life. Don’t be tricked by Ange, it’s not just about him hating running because it’s meaningless. Everything runs deeper with him. He’s a life coach. Except one worthy of respect. 😉

Technically he won 8 titles Asian cup, two Scottish titles, 1 j league title, four Aussie titles(new and old) and if u care about Oceania Championship he won that to qualify for world club championship so 9.
Correction - he came to Spurs after winning three titles in just the last 12 months. I've been lucky enough to see him coach from the very start (well, Brisbane, I didn't see his South Melbourne days), he picks up silverware basically everywhere he goes. The man is a born winner.

Ange's views on running for fitness are just basic common sense which is pretty much his approach to everything. Why waste valuable hours haveing players mindlessly pound out miles on the pavement when that time could be better spent running drills with the ball? Fitness comes naturally from the amount of work done whilst also having the players engaged in perfecting the combinations necessary to play Angeball. More hours spent focused on the important stuff whilst other teams may be wasting valuable training time on "fitness" work without practical application to the job at hand.

Pep probably recommended him. They all belong to the Manchester City group, even when Ange coached at Yokohama Mariners. Also Arsene Wenger who cut his teeth in Japan. For you Englishmen who may not look at any other "inferior" league, you might learn a few lessons about the reach of the Man City Group.

Celtic beat Spurs in all except reach of club and finance. They have more supporters clubs worldwide than Spurs do by quite a bit. But due to the money spent on marketing the PL, Spurs are more well known and popular in the modern era.
Personally I dont agree with him going new places without staff and on his own. I think you should have your own staff to build relationships. Most managers dont go club to club on their own which I do respect.
