"I know it's a good cast, you dont have to tell me" 😂😂😂 It would be such an amazing experience to just fish with you. Love the vids man!
Coffee, and fly fishing? That's huge
Ben your videos are great, yu are one of the best videos on the circuit , you not only teach , you make it a lot fun to watch, I'm laughing at your snippets n learning at the same time keep um coming brother, I'll be waitin !
I like a foam humpy for the dry in a dry/dropper rig. A #16 will easily float over a #18 brass bead pheasant tail or prince nymph with minimal re-application of floatant. The humpy doesn’t resemble anything in particular but it works on alpine lakes and mountain streams where there aren’t any significant mono-species hatches. Thanks for the entertaining (as always) video.
Happy Monday. I had two hookups on the triple dropper today. I used flies similar to the one at 2:13. Lots of bites; very dramatic. Keep it huge.
I love your videos and attitude! and I have NO IDEA what I am doing fly fishing, so these are very helpful!
I was tryna learn how to to dry dropper fly fish but this guy is so real and so funny now I just want to watch for laughs ! Love this channel!
This is now how I start my week. Thanks Dude!
It's always fun to have a double hook up using this system. I've had blue gill and crappie on at the same time
Way betterer. Another solid vid, thanks!
Great video... not sure why i'm up at 4 am, but thanks for the info!
Awesome as usual.
Great video!!
"Trust me...That's - AWESOME " 😁😂🤣😂
"Maybe its okay if your fishing a zebra midge for a dropper"
Shows an empty hand.......👌
Underrated comment
Very funny! And informative...
Hopper/dropper.
Deadly.
👍🏼👍🏼
Coffee and fly fishing 7am on a Monday = big
PBR and fly fishing 7am on a Monday = HUGE 🍻
I laughed within 3 seconds..I thought,..Good cast..then you..I know that’s a good cast, you dont gotta tell me. Got another at the bickering end..ok, one thing at a time, you’re so needy. 😂 Can’t think of much else that makes me laugh on a Monday morning. The photos that accompany the great info. are Always great! Hugely appreciated! Thanks Ben 👍👍🎣
So true!
My favorite dry dropper here in the northeast is a caddis, pheasant tail. Stay huge!
I caught a beautiful 3 pound brown last night on a #16 pheasant tail under a #12 elk hair caddis
I look forward to the day when you fish the LeTort in Pennsylvania. That's a true challenge.
As a New Yorker a dry dropper rig is the bread and butter for fly fishing here
great video....Now I came to understand why so many times trouts would took my dry fly but ended up being hooked with the nymph.....Unsolved mystery!!!
A little bit of this guy goes a long way
Huge!
Tenkara Gang!
Ben, you need to try a Hamms and I promise you’ll drop the PBR. Well maybe not. Till next Monday thanks and STAY HUGE.....
Hamms is the worst beer ever.
Epic
I use this method a lot and let me tell you i be catching fish! A catch is a catch
Bro, huge koozie necklace!!!! I need one 🤔
@Huge Fly Fisherman: Do you like this kind of setup (but perhaps with more space between hopper/dropper) for alpine lakes as well?
I was drinking a Miller light while watching this video...😆 🤣 😂
I like the clip referring to the zebra midge and an empty palm
Great video! Is there any reason to ever use an indicator/bobber instead of a dry fly? It seems pretty self explanatory that if you can turn your indicator into another chance to catch a fish, you do it.
If you got a long dropper off the dry it’s like impossible to cast. Trust me I had the same thought and had one long ass day of fishing
I love floating a chernobyl with a copper john with a midge, AKA the famous hopper-copper-dropper. Talk about an awesome tangled mess!
Nice part about the hopper, is fish will often just splash at them giving away their location
Awesome vid!
Stay wet
Keep em huge
Oh my God, a strike indicator!
I'll see myself out.
Hopper dropper is a mind game.
cool video tutorial
I love that his beer koozey is dummy tied around his neck. That’s dedication!
You have a Miller light this morning.
You and Hank Patterson need to collab!
MILFF
Man I Love Fly Fishing
My personal preference is to only fish this rig 😂
I like my dry at the back and I find adding floatant to the dropper makes it more natural pared up with a 12 wt rod, 7x leader it’s a deadly combination
Are you from the future?
Huge Fly Fisherman 🤫
@@HugeFlyFisherman Watch out Ben! This man is here to replace you!!
Hey, so how far apart do my flies need to be in like three feet of water?
2.5 ft
"or You could just fish a dry fly like a real fly fisherman"......lmao
Only huge fly fishermen know about the awesome ways the nymph gets tangled when you land a fish on a dry dropper. STAY HUGE.
i just tried to hit the subscribe button again for you..
@2:14 What’s a midge? 😆
I only use a dropper so that I can butt hook fishies, lose way less of 'em that way
Ben, if I send you a 6 pak of good beer can you send me some goodies? That's not beer...
2 is better
Your new vid is private
2 flies is more butter...
Miller Lite. Worst Beer Ever!
No, it wasn't me who gave you the thumbs down.
In true fly fishermen fashion. Chug a miller and throw it in the river
