- Welcome back to another installment of The Workbench . In this episode Charles reviews a new product that is said to prolong the life of your wet / dry vacuum's pleated filter significantly. I apologize for the video quality, my camera was having issues holding focus, and the RUclips post upload processing made it worse. I have a new Canon 80D on order, so this issue should be resolved by the next video.

Protecting an expensive hepa filter is a great thing
The filter that the guy at home depot sold you was the filter for stinger and husky 2 gallon wet dry vacs
I made my own cloth pre-filter long long ago using an old undershirt. Same idea: elastic band holds it tight. How much does it lower the airflow and suction power? Such a thick cloth bag is sure to reduce the suction.
The way these are designed they do very little in terms of reducing airflow. Remember these are made from recycled soda bottles, not a cotton or cotton/synthetic blend fabric that would be used in clothing. I'm still running the same bag several years later. I toss it in the washing machine about once every 2 months and it's as good as new.

I would love to test out a Dust Deputy. I may have to put one on the list for my workshop in next months budget. Thanks for the idea!
I don't see anything conclusive here. And it seems that the entire thing is "sponsored" by the seller. Of course there is nothing on the filter... you have a filter before it that is clearly clogging just with the small pile you vacuumed.
