It must have been so wonderful for Dame Vera to live to see the 75th VE Day anniversary - and for 'We'll Meet Again' to be so relevant in the time of Covid-19. Thank You Dame Vera!
What a Wonderful 'Mum' You had, Loved by Everyone All Over the World, the 'Forces Sweet Heart' and 'We'll Meet Again' Relevant Today, as Your Mum said, may Your Mum, Dame Vera Lynn, now Rest in Peace, 'God Bless Her' XXXX
Vera was a beauty, your moms voice lives with us older generation, her voice always gives me goosebumps, she had this caring genuine Ora about her, one of a kind, it’s weird really, because we knew she was still with us it was ok, but knowing she’s not around anymore, it really hurts, like loosing your own family member, her voice was absolutely beautiful, and her beautiful full smile was priceless, god bless Vera xxx
A very sad time but Dame Vera had a long and amazing life. It’s certainly the end of an era but Vera Lynn will still be talked about and her music will still be played over the next 100 years.
Prayers for your loss. I was born in the late fifties. But grew up singing along with your mum on the tv. Will be sadly missed. A national treasure for sure. 🙏🙏🙏
As a child I grew up with the song's of Vera LYNN since she was my mum's favourite and I think my mum had every recording she ever made which were cassette form in those days
How have I not heard of Dame Vera’s passing? She wasn’t quite royalty status but she wasn’t far below either! I remember about 1987 seeing her in Melbourne, and she mentioned she had emphysema then. That worried me quite a bit but although it surely caused much suffering, she lived another 30 reasonable years, apparently.
