18/06/2020 13 mins ago - Dame Vera Lynn, whose song We'll Meet Again became an anthem of hope and resilience during the second world war, has died aged 103 Auf Wiederseh`n Sweetheart ..... LOVE AND BLESSINGS TO THE FAMILY.....
Very Well said Virginia, about Your Mum, Dame Vera Lynn, and Condolences to You and Yours on Your Mum's Passing @ 103yrs old, her Legacy will Live On, God Bless Her and You, Take Care, X
Amazing Lady. She still looked quite well 2 months ago. She had good Gene's, a strong constitution and a life long compassion for others; the veterans, children with special needs and many other organizations. And maybe attributes to her long life, were her diet and good English tea! Iam glad she loved Canada. I think there was a debate that she was more popular than the Queen! Virgina Lewis Jones is very much like her mother Vera Lynn Lewis. In fact a spitting image which often can happen with having off spring. I would like to hear Virginia sing and why she doesnt attempt to sing as I bet she can sing like her mother and I would love to hear her sing one of her mothers songs
My whole life her songs from the second World War made me emotional even though I wasn't born when she made them and they will of course do that for the rest of my life thank you and may you rest in peace
When I was a young man at EMI and Dame Vera was only my second interviewee for overseas radio promotion; her kindness and guidence, avoiding me any humiliation, was beyond words. I went back to our flat in Maida Vale and told my partner (another 'household name') and they recalled Dame Vera's wonderful gesture to their Mother in Astralia when she played Melbourne in the early '60s. When I had my roots on the south coast near Brighton, we joshed about our lovely Mrs. Lewis and of course, nobody knew of whom we were speaking. Such fun times. So many memories for me and God be with Her forever. Paul in France
Absolutely she looks like her mother - and even the intonation sounds similar. It's a shame that the world still hasn't learnt that war isn't the answer. Her re-released 100 album is making the old wonderfully popular again - and the splendid sentiments the lyrics portray.
Don't know if Virginia will see this - my Dad would hunt on the grounds at hers and Harrys home when Virginia was in the womb... We played many of Vera's songs for his Funeral..
Daughter is a spitting image of her mother.
God bless her and her mother who has passed away. RIP Vera.

Very nice looking lady, similar to Vera in the 1960s and 1970s.

So lovely. Thank you so much for sharing.
My Uncle Doris "Mike" Craven, 8th U.S. Army, killed at The Battle of The Bulge was a fan of Vera. Likewise, I'm a Vera fan. Happy 100th!
