I normally use the syringe but for some reason every time I go to ink up a new pen I while filming I forget to grab it and don’t feel like stopping to go and get it. I always end up regretting it. It’s less messy too.
Happy belated birthday. I have this pen with M nib in blue. I love all my pens! Oh, I would also love a TWSBI mini Iris. My Iris Vac 700 has a broad nib and I’ve filled it three times. It’s dry and ready for a fill. 🖋
Thank you! I love my new pen. A TWSBI Iris Mini would be so fun! I would definitely not get a VAC in a fine nib again. It would have to be a M or B. I like to change my ink colors often.
You may need to put the nib in the ink bottle at an angle to make sure the filler hole is under the ink. The filler hole is higher on the VP nib than on most nibs!
If that does not work try and keep the nib submerged and fill, empty and refill around three times while the nib is still submerged. More air is expelled this way.
Pilot vanishing points are the worse to fill with ink the traditional way. The suction power of the small nib and converter is very bad. I use a syringe to fill and wait for it to flow down the feed xD 😆
Happy belated birthday :) how old is your son? my 5-year old just recently was introduced to my fountain pens and says he likes it. he likes to draw/write with them. i'm wary to let him play too much with my nicer ones, but i'm tickled that he finds them interesting
Thank you for the birthday wishes! 😊. My son is 17 and my daughter is 15. Unfortunately, neither are interested in fountain pens. Maybe one day. 🤞🏽. I’m glad your son is enjoying them. How fun!
Syringe or pipette fill the CON-40 converters. Less stress. 😏
Pretty pen.

That’s such a beautiful pen - kinda matchy-matchy with your nail polish!

To get a fuller fill, I mean.
Thank you for that tip. I’ll try it next time I fill it! 😊

Have you tried any pen from India which are handmade?
No I haven’t. I know Fountain Pen Revolution sells pens from Indian. I’ll have to try them. Are they smooth writers?
@@lifeasme Yes there are some quality handmade pens.

The con 40 is what nightmares are made of 😅
I use a syringe too when I’m prepared and not being too lazy to stop filming to go get it. 😂 It’s easier and less messy too.
Happy belated birthday :)
